You had 5 stars first, then I reached the levels where I can only see 80% of the screen. WHY ? :'( why you do that to me ? It's just annoying... If the map was 10x larger, I'd understand the concept. But only to add a sliver on each side ? Why not just scaling down the sprites ? It's not like it's full resolution. It's just annoying.
I save my money during multiple mission to get that heavy machine gun and I get THIS ! Reduce health boxes, a weapon grabbable by all enemies and a "machine gun" with about 8 bullets in the chamber... what a scam.
And the game is SO easy, just have to find the right spot to zone in the map. th game design in the game... is it even existent ? a few sprites that shoot bullets straight ahead in a few creative less map design...
Ok. The game idea deserve a 5/5. But really I hesitated for 2 reasons : 1) Since the whole game turn around the idea of making a few good move, I think it's silly the game allow you to go trough with a bronze or a silver medal. Those mean you did the wrong path and should mean a lost. 2) The prisonner mechanic is so much game breaking. It doesnt fit AT ALL with the remaining of the game you were trying to make.
So I space+clicked the closest enemy planet up to full gold medals. No strategy involved at all. I'd expect from a strategy game that I should use strategy to win... but nope. Just send all you got to the closest planet as fast as you can ! For a game genre that beaten... I'd expect better. It's not like the concept is new.
Ok. Just to remake this classic, you got 4/5 . However. Why making it a sidescrolling game ? we see 2/3 of the map all the time, it's just annoying to not see anything. Why can't we break half of a block ? It was in the original game... I would have prefered less tougher enemy then that swarm of easy one. And finaly, I would have loved to design my tank with a few weapons and a few upgrade. 1-2 weapons that I could stratigicaly chose between map instead of that mess of having everything at once.
I enjoyed it as a speedrun. Just turning around as fast as possible to solve it without dying. sadly, this leave me with only 7 out of 10 trophy to advance. And I just lost interest...
It's not an idle game if I have to press the button 1000 times. Specialy now that I'm capped at 50 automatic click per seconds. My own click are just useless... yet I'm forced to do thousands of them to progress. :(
My progression seem to slow fast (so less decision per minutes). It's likely people will have some preference for the amount of move per minutes they want to perform in a game. Changing it on purpose on the course of a game is IMO quite a bad design idea. Also, it seem like once you understand the very base of the game, it's just a matter of doing tedious maths to progress. No real decision involved at all.
I see that comming already... I'll play the game, will upgrade the priest because that's how I like to play RPG and they'll reach cap before level 10. So I will have to play the remaining of the game with a tasteless strategy. :( better stop now.
The game feel completly unbalanced... I can do some stage at hard, and suddenly not even easy seem to be doable...
And the fact I keep everything from stage to stage just encourage me to grind everything at easy instead. I also seriously fail to understand how I can get FPS drops on this game. I know I dont have an awesome computer but... fps drops at low graphics ? Come on everything is static...
Well done, enjoyable but I feel like it missing something. With only 2 special power, it fill empty and at the sam time too crowded for a life leason style game "one only need one special power".
At first glimpse, I liked how the planets resist to the invasion instead of dying instantly. But then I realize how bad the strategy is. One only have to send all his army on the nearest undefended planet and he will eventually win because his capture speed is faster then his opponent.
I strongly suggest you make the capture speed go at the square root of the number of ships on the planet. That way it would give back a bit of strategy to this game.
This nyan cat have a passive ability I just can't counter. He's just big and there is no upgrade that can make me beat him faster. I do the remaining of the level faster and faster due to upgrade, but then I'm stuck with that nyan cat. For a longer and longer part of the game. Congrat, you found a way to make an upgrade game where you upgrade your capacity to not being able to upgrade any more. Honestly, without upgrades this upgrade game is just crap. I'll vote for the part I did the most : The nyan cat with no relevant way to upgrade.
oh god. you just state the rule and we find out the optimal strategy without problem : use magic as soon as you can, use heal whenever you are under 85HP, use attack the remaining of the time. Just a random game...
1)You should add CO2; make leaves that have more air neighbours produce more sugar. We'd make more complex trees. (Right now the best is a line straight up). 2) you should add a rare ressource called fertilizer which greatly reduce the cost of the next few cells. You could give a few of that at start which would greatly improve the wait at the beginning :) . 3) Add multiple type of specialised cells that unlock even more cells with small price variation. One could build a knot that would allow leaves that are more expensive in water but less in sun (for exemple). Players could adapt to the maps specificities. 3) New years... nutrients that respawn, branches that break, roots that decays, leaves that fall. I think that one obvious, but you need it anyway. 4) A reroll button for inital map. 5) nutrients seem to decay too fast. Right now it's not hard to drain all the nutrient in the map before time run out. 6) A few AI that would compete for sunlight might be fun. awesome game til now.
