levels 1-16: easy gold medal on each, almost always on first try. level 17: AAAAARGH! 10 attempts each time, takes 5 minutes of careful aiming, and *still* i manage to accidentally kill one of those VIPs!
but love the full-price buyback program! allows me to try weapons without committing to them! (and since i hate most of them, this feature is even better!)
gun firerate is a total lie! if the thing shoots in ultra-fast bursts, but only once every 3 seconds, it does NOT have a firerate twice as high as that of something that shoots half as fast but continuously!
ability to run out of mana kinda sucks... make flamethrower free (or add another free, low-damage attack), or some sort of mana regeneration items, or something...
game would be less ridiculously annoying if closures cut chances of infection, not removed them entirely. entire world is 100% infected... except for brazil and argentina, which are each at 0% despite their titanic borders with peru... if this happens the game can just as well stop immediately, since there is no possible way for you to win anymore!
1) you can't really buy any upgrades for the first 4 days, which is pointless. 2) speed should be horizontal only, not total. 3) it's nearly impossible to get powerups - i get a half-dozen or so while the powerup magnet is active, but otherwise flew 30,000 meters and only hit 2 or 3 of them
is it supposed to take me ~60 weapons of all kinds and 40 minutes at max speed to take down that thing at the bottom of level 5? or is it just that i failed to notice the *bleep*ing holocube and if i collected it first the level would have ended much sooner?
could use, on the map screen: 1) a visual indicator of which block you just received (after picking up a key), 2) a clearer visual indicator of where you are (you kinda glow, but so do other things), 3) a visual indicator of where keys are, and maybe 4) a visual indicator of which blocks are connected and which aren't (e.g. vertical red line between non-connected ones)
a straight-line mode for those of us cursorily challenged would be helpful! (i.e. click two points to make a line between them when holding down SHIFT or something)
i'm indifferent to the game itself - and apparently bodyslamming a ship doesn't even scratch it, but touching it with my tail damages it? but there are so many properly designed features (per-level checkpoints, free skill reallocation, and more) that this gets a 5/5 for sheer design
game is good, but red skeleton boomerangs are hard to see on occasion, and spiderwebs merge so well into the background that are all but invisible on level 3 (i can see them if i look hard, but i can't really do that while dodging monsters and projectiles and god knows what)
gotta love all those "original idea!" and "stolen from flood-it!" comments... anyone remember the name of the original 2-player game from the early 90s this is based on?
fixed) Just switch off "extended animation"
