The reset is so powerful now, the last data reset I had broke my save. Now I can't progress because the score will just go past the 50 and never do anything.
Some impressive quality coming out of this one! Most of the recent hits on the site have been rather lackluster to the content it provides, but this one, aside from it being a very inoffensive defense game, the amount of personality and creativity throughout it really got me engrossed! The intro sequence is a must-see, and the overall tone of the game feels very light-hearted and quirky. The ability to alter and re-spec spells not only before each battle, but on-the-fly between each wave, really gives a new depth of complexity, and even allows for strategies to be made to handle different waves, and with which, different enemies and attack patterns (Although, my main plan was just spam Q/W/E until everything died.) All the same, it's a fun play that I recommend for anyone on-the-go or powering through a lazy day.
I've noticed that Quality % doesn't seem to take into account DPS % bonuses, so that +100% quality is actually just piss in the wind when your over 250N hammer is only getting another 5-1/2N stacked on it.
A suggestion: perhaps be able to use Infinity Gems acquired by certain heroes to upgrade them? Like unique skills that enhance spells, or increase the amount of Tokens you find? It would really diversify their use, as, while DPS % boosts are nice and all, the Gems never seem to go beyond that.
There's definitely room for making the Gems more interesting, lots of fun ideas being thrown around at the moment for them, like buying upgradable pets.
I have an issue: I've been off for some time, so when I try to load my game, and attempts to load all my save data and gained resources while I was off, it instead just shows a blank space background...that's not good. And that also means I'm basically no longer able to play this. At least, not unless I delete my save cookie for it, which I refuse to lose all my progress due to this issue.
It does a lot of things Raze doesn't. The difficulty actually increases the challenge without making it feel fake or dumbing down your AI partners, and you have to earn your equipment through actual combat rather than just grinding to reach a new level. While there's a lack of polish in most aspects, and the mechs feel way too clunky to be very reliable, there's a certain charm and respect to find in this game. Plus, it does multiplayer, something Raze has failed to do so far! In all, good work, and I do hope to see more from the guys at Box10.com in the future.
There seems to be a sound bug now on my end. One of the sound layers, particularly the one involving item interaction (smashing rocks, chopping trees, removing weeds, et cetera.) I've tried muting and un-muting my sound, and nothing's worked so far. And strangely, the piano instrument is now missing from the music I'm hearing. All the other sound works fine, oddly enough...
An issue I'd like to address is the stacking system. Since your character needs a LOT of food, having a SINGLE food piece slotted is not good design, especially when that means I have to carry a full backpack with all of it being a SINGLE food to every slot in order to keep fed in case of emergencies. Also, when you grab items that you already have a stack of in one of your backpacks, IT SHOULD NOT, repeat, NOT, be added into a stack of its own in your main inventory. It makes for a lot more micro-management than there is ever even need for, and that's caused my death more times than one.
What really bothers me is how gold-purchased weapons that are literally better in every major statistic compared to the variety of weapons you're trapped with until level 10 are literally on the table from LEVEL ZERO. While they're not broken or overpowered, they DO make a considerable difference in a firefight of gold-players vs. freebies, and can make the experience for new players, like myself, a little alienating. Either up the availability cap for gold-related weapons to something reasonable, like 5, or allow people the option to rent them out for silvers, because those gold weapons break the balance like all hell for players who either can't or won't pay for them, and turns it from fun to frustrating real quick.
I came across a serious issue. I did a system check and re-booted my computer, and my save data got wiped. Yes, I KNOW about the cookie, but here's the thing: the cookie got wiped too. I'm literally without my save data or any way to retrieve it, and I spent who knows how many weeks into this!
The Army power to our troops should play a bigger role to battle. If we have a large Army power vs. the opponent's total, for example, we SHOULD be able to finish the battle without losing half the troops we sent. Example: I fought Astrila with an army power of 128,000, and I come out with 1/3 of my troops left. Just...no.
Some suggestions: add upgrades to the mothership, such as a bonus to your multiplier, or increasing the rate at which the multiplier raises per click. Perhaps an ultra-expensive upgrade that allows you to auto-click the mothership? Also, some research upgrades would be nice, such as how many RP you earn every level up. And finally, a bloody upgrade to reduce the price of the friggin units! They're becoming more and more impossible to buy!
While I appreciate the huge amount of content, and how players can contribute their own recruits as they feel so inclined, the fact of such a wide scope of them, even with the large sorting system, feels horribly overwhelming. Perhaps an expensive upgrade to auto-level recruits that are the lowest level and/or cheapest to afford would be in order?
Was Micromanagement removed? I've tried my hardest to find a way to do it, but it just doesn't seem like it's possible in this version. I rather enjoyed it, tbph.
Thank you for the kind words! Btw, the QWEQWE spam has been fixed.
