The countdown timer is a bit of an issue. It might work on mobile games if you can convince people to drop a bit of cash at the start. For web games it's just too much of a reason to play another game in a different tab for a while. Which leads to closing this game to speed up the other game. Which leads to not not thinking about this game at all unless you see it in the history. Maybe a separate "speedup/repair currency" with a very small amount granted automatically everyday(1-5 repairs) or a medium amount granted when first playing the game. That gives people a bit more time to get invested in the game.
I can't recall playing any other games by this developer recently, so I don't know about the re-skinning comments but THIS game seems pretty good to me so far.
if through deliberate design... the resource bottlenecks, frequent restarts, alternative builds, synergy boosts and total lack of a clear and specific best path... are brilliant. there is a lot to be learned about game design from this game. thanks e_cha :)
quadrillion millions in gold yet the food shortage forces my people to throw horses into wells to make soup. this place has very infertile farming country... or maybe it was a mistake to employ half a million people on six farms...
This is a great game, best new idle I've seen in a while. At the moment there's not a huge reason to buy gems, and I want people to buy gems to support the game :) i'd suggest things like adding an option to prestige without reset, maybe a daily 'random prize' with option of buying more.
The fun part is trying out a new character. The un fun part is saving ascension points for days, trying a new character out, discovering it isnt viable at high levels and facing the prospect of grinding for a couple more days before being able to try again. Good game though, glad to keep seeing updates.
Oops, I missed the quest counter on the loot screen earlier because I was clicking it away before I noticed it. Also the browser makes a huge difference in speed.
You've actually managed to get a good retro feel, and it's fun, even better after the recent changes. Could do with an on-screen quest counter. (ie. 5 rats remaining etc) Otherwise, nice work!
I like the colour coded equipment but there is a UI bug where the quick slots get piles of the coloured squares building up above them. Also seems to be offsetting the combinator clickable areas.
I'm impressed with your dev team. The game's quite solid and the multiplayer aspects seem to work well. The art is decent and extensive. People can put cash in but also play free, even the "VIP levels" can be achieved by non paying players. Some of the balancing feels painful but otherwise... nice work.
Jarty, we had resolved this bug, thanks for the heads up!
