Chrome seems to be somewhere between 3 and 10 times faster that firefox for playing this game. Which makes it actually playable. Also displays the potential quest rewards instead of starting the quest. Also seems to reduce the timer issues. Vote up so people know.
Looking around at how great the game looks, I would rate 5/5... if the game didn't play itself, thus taking away all entertainment. It's even less fun than idle games, seeing as you have to press the next quest button the tedium is still there.
(From work) The game generates a quest number, if you have already completed that quest it gives the "nothing to do", with the update tonight I'll try to add a few more options, stat challenges etc so it isn't quite as boring after 16
I get the feeling the idea was to make a strategic fantasy version of a "launch" game. I think the current concept might get more favorable reviews with some pick ups/treasure/bonuses; some way of getting further to compare with bouncing on a creep etc. Good game as is though.
So much awesome in this game, I can imagine better graphics and a clearer beginning getting it closer to 4 stars. Also I agree with janis8008, please no paint :)
Thank you! I plan on making a more full featured game with what I've put together here in the future! I've got a couple other games I've been working on that need to be finished first though =)
Haha, that's funny. I hadn't planned for that really. Also, I would like to polish the game up a bit. I'm working on my art skills because this is literally my first attempt at a graphical game... and in under 48 hours. For now I think I need to give my brain time to resolidify after the melting I subjected it to for Ludum Dare.
Thanks a lot for the comments and I'm glad you liked it
please add an alternative control scheme, got a new mac and the mouse that came standard with my computer can't click both buttons at the same time... sad but eh, unplayable as is
I thought the game was fun and it could be a brilliant web game... but the lack of any progression hurts it. The expansions seem extremely well priced compared to other online card games, but the current model probably won't keep people around long enough to be willing to drop some cash. still, 5/5, loved the game and I hope people stop down-voting it due to the currency model, people gotta realize advertising alone wont pay for a CCG :p
Please give us an option to turn off the move suggestion. Sometimes, people that can think for themselves find it to be a horrible, horrible feature that causes a great deal of irritation...
we will link it to Kong soon ;)
