The gamei is too arbitrarily difficult. Having enemies that constantly pop out of nowhere, move faster than you and have large exploding radius. Literally, if you popped up endless enemies every millisecond, would that be "difficult" but not stupid? Of course not. So, there's a range of what's "acceptable." This games falls outside that range for me. Instead of strategizing to kill the structures, I'm too busy running away from endless enemies. I guess the strategy should be to play the easier levels over and over and over and over - that's their idea of making it longer? No thanks, not compelling enough. 2/5
The game is unplayable. The movement is atrocious, the lack of "this doesn't work" messages, but instead repeating sometimes-blocking messages is beyond frustrating and the graphics are so bad you can't tell what you can look at and what you can't. Interesting concept, you had me for 8-10 minutes, but it's not worth finishing up. The puzzles are kinda' stupid, too. Note: I killed the guy downstairs, pulled the fuse and yet the socket is still sparking?
I have no idea what just happened for the last 8 minutes of my life. But I want it back. I still don't understand the point. I don't know why I was collecting blue before and getting health-like credit, but then when I got a single special ability, I could collect no other. I have no idea why I became a human. The graphics were, to be nice, atrocious. If my kid made that game, I'm not sure I would even tell him or her that I liked it. Wow.
I cannot express what BS this game is. I've seen my own guys "explode" (3 or 4 guys die simulatenously) 20 times. I've not seen the enemy do that ONCE. They are firing artillery before mine is half way ready. This is atrocious.
The interface is brutal. The scrolling doesn't work half the time. And the fire support - you wait, wait, wait and then you click on it and it you wait some more or it never comes. HEH?!?
This is brutal. Eventually I have no way to end the misery, cannot buy anything and never really understood what was happening. Most people want to learn how to play complex games as they play games. Not need a manual to just understand what is happening after 5 full minutes of dedicated time. Graphics are good. 2/5.
So, what's the point of the 3rd level on planet 1? You have a gun and the monsters are ON TOP OF YOU....Just trying to figure out what the developers were thinking. Because at first blush, it's as if they weren't thinking.
So, I can barely believe it. The game isn't broken at all. The programmer actually programmed in when you choose the Viper (which looks like the only snake you can choose after the first run) that it ignores many of your key presses. That's the stupidest, least creative thing ever. It was way better when I thought it was a bug. Now you're just a horrendous game DESIGNER instead of a flawed game developer (which we all are). Wow!
Mac Chrome the controls intermittently don't work. And by intermittently, I mean frequently. Oddly, it didn't happen the first time I played through, but since my return it's significant.
I've tried this game 3 or 4 times. I hate this game more than any other game I've ever played. It's not just the horrendous music, the crappy graphics, the disgusting slime trail or the moronic controls. It's the combination of it all that makes me despise it. It actually offends me.
On multiple occasions my gem is left at the point of entry for the next big guy. Kind of irritating and skill-less (just a matter of luck). Overall, not a ton of strategy involved, really just a matter of getting your towers upgrading.
3rd comment, probably considered spam. Seems like getting started is SUPER random. My first time I got killed doing pretty much anything. Made the huge mistake of not attacking animals, that's how you have to cut your teeth. Started again and am able to make some strides. FYI for newbies, don't sign up for not attacking animals. Oh, and the metaphor (refresh icon) to cancel stuff, doesn't make a lot of sense. Neither does the selling of gear. It's a solid attempt for a free game. Upped from 1* to 4*.
