I like it, but it would be much nicer if there were a way to use a few trial line types. If it were pencil and paper, I would be using dashed or dotted lines for tentative experimentation to look for logical contradictions.
Excellent game! I love the fact that the suggestion I made in the comments of the last game (IIRC), to allow multi-directional dragging without lifting the mouse, made it into this version. It makes the game much more pleasant.
In the "only hedgehog" room, right after the two spike traps, there is a save-game obelisk and a bunch of vampires. Without any way of damaging them or changing form, I just bounced off them until they had me cornered. So I die, and when I come back, I'm still cornered. I guess I'll be dying until infinity. If I were a porcupine, at least I could knock them back with quills, alas.
For all the people complaining that the jump and interact keys are the reverse of what they should be: This being Kongregate, I might agree with you -- if not for the fact that the up key makes more sense for climbing ladders. Given that you can jump on and off ladders, I think a dedicated jump key is a logical necessity. You could argue that it should be something other than the space bar, though.
Best home-rolled music ever. This game blows me away. All your games do. I finished with a 96% (and 96 deaths, weirdly), and I shall now attempt to show up for my date in my underwear. Thank you, Mr. Pseudolonewolf.
BUG: When a roller rolls backward into the floor (zero height, no earth), such as when it hits a steep upward grade on a steep downward trajectory, it rolls until it hits the floor and teleports back to its point of impact. This repeats until it uses up its entire rolling distance, whereupon it detonates.
Great game! Not only does it have great instructional potential, but it's very challenging as a game as well. The music, graphics, and even thematic unity are all good! It just went into my favorites. My only objections are, first, that you've made an educational science game called "Refraction" which doesn't teach the science concept of refraction, though the game hints at the pun. Hyphenating it to "Re-fraction" might have been a better choice. Also, needs a clear button to quickly start a level over.
At first I assumed the point was just to avoid a bunch of giant bats while flying a helicopter. When I was told I had to shoot them for no reason, well... I kind of closed the window. Yeah, sorry.
This is a great concept. The urgency and the compassion required are both excellent. Only two things mar a great game. One is the fact that you have to rob people you're rescuing. Not only is it wrong to rob people, but it's wrong to do ANYTHING other than put out the fire as quickly as possible. Second, it's much too easy for the firefighter to get glued to ladders. It should be much easier to get off the ladder.
This game has some pretty deep sexism. And it's not just the un-PC jokes at women's expense, but it's, for example, the fact that human + human and man + man both = friendship, but woman + woman = nothing. The game seems like it espouses a slightly progressive view, but a progressive should know better than this.
Also, when structures are destroyed which have fewer bullets than allocated, the deficit remains in the status bar. A condition can develop in which a massive bullet debt shows, which the remaining buildings do not account for.
