I already beat this game. Kongregate, if you're going to feature games before you add your badges to them, you need to make sure the game will recognize that a player has already won when they come back to claim the badge.
Is the game failing to load for anyone else? I'm about halfway through the game (I have a [profanity]ing crystal), and I don't want to lose all that progress.
Has anyone ever seen an Axolotl, the axe-wielding, gill-breathing monster alongside the bats and eye-stalks in the serpent's lair, drop a Bone Axe? Its encyclopedia page says it's supposed to. I've been grinding for several levels now; I've picked up several water essences (a 5% drop rate), but no axes (nominally also a 5% drop rate).
PLEASE write more hard science-based games! I loved this, and I'm not even a teacher! The gameplay is great, you have to use real strategy to finish it, and I learned a bunch!
FLASH CRASH FIX: If you're like me, you've upgraded to the latest version. Unfortunately, this game doesn't work with the current latest version of Flash (10.1.53.64). I downgraded to a previous version (10.0.45.2, aka 10.0 r45), and the game works. Downgrading temporarily in Firefox is fairly easy: Get http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10_archive.zip, extract fp10_archive/10r45_2/flashplayer10r45_2_win.exe, open the extracted installer file in 7-zip (it's just an MSI file), and take out two files: NPSWF32.dll and flashplayer.xpt. Then go to %appdata%\Mozilla (usually "C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla"), create a directory called "Plugins", and put those two files in it. Then restart Firefox, and you're good to go! After you finish playing, just delete that whole Plugins directory you just made to go back to your usual, up-to-date Flash version. BUMP ME!
Great game, and I keep coming back. I have a couple minor complaints I wanted to share. I was excited about upgrading a card from my deck (ether/chaos) for the first time, and I picked Dissipation Shield, one of my favorites. However, unlike the wording on the original card, the wording on Dissipation Field is vague, and I realized after upgrading that it actually uses up to *3 times more quanta.*
I believe there's a bug in the experience progress bar for every building. It starts partially filled, and then fills completely before the next level is completed. It's as though the pointer to the current position on the bar is shifted right by about 10% from its correct value.
Is a "brilliant" rating even possible on the second-to-last level? Five fully-upgraded meteors aren't taking it out, and it only uncloaks after he's already got the gem.
Spell targeting needs to be divorced from the "move here" command. Half the time, casting meteor also tells my troops to go to the site of the meteor, which shouldn't happen. Otherwise, very fun!
Intellectual property law is what keeps Monsanto rich at the expense of poor farmers who have to purchase patented seeds, it's what almost did in Youtube, it's responsible for the Digital Rights Management (DRM) nightmare beleaguering the commercial computer game community, the music community, Blu-ray, etc. It's nothing but a weapon that the rich use against the poor, mainly through the tyrannical abominations known as corporations. And it's not necessary for innovation; in fact, it discourages piggy-backing on ideas that have come before.
