If you're going to constantly treat me like an imbecile and tell me what to do at every step, why have the pretense of interactivity at all? Just make your movie and be done with it.
Great fun! The AI was good, so I had to make real tactical decisions. I'm proud of the fact that not a single army unit died that I brought to the field. Kind of interesting that you never gain any elves in your party unless you purchase them.
I don't understand this at all. In the campaign, the other bases always destroy twice as many asteroids, no matter how good my defense or offense is, even if I obliterate the other two bases.
I've signed in to my EA account in Dragon Age Journeys, but the game hasn't unlocked the Amulet of the War Mage. I even went to the EA homepage and logged in there, thinking maybe that's what was meant. Still not awarded in-game.
Why did my scorpion tank attack their missile truck on a road and only do 11 damage? It should have done 35+20%=42. Was it because the scorpion tank was damaged?
Only problem is that since it's not deterministic, you usually have to keep replaying until the pieces randomly fall in the correct configuration. Otherwise it's a fun game.
This is fun! The game should require you to minimize various criteria here and there, like # of arms, # of total cycles, # of symbols, or unit cost = total # of arm movements per unit cycle (waits aren't moves; initial unit doesn't count).
I love this series! This is one of the better sequels. A few things the game could really use: A way of cycling through available weapons (pref. mouse wheel), a way of rapidly restarting a level, and please don't delete status info at the top of the screen when I fail! I want to see how much time I lasted/had left.
I see a lot of comments railing at the level size and design, and the lack of jumping. Neither of these bothers me at all. I actually like the exploration aspect, and the locomotion was original and fun. The only problems were: Major lagging on my Core2 Duo machine by game's end (fine at the start), levels restarting at quest completion, combat too easy, and card XP credit for earth spell dot damage.
Am I supposed to be able to train all my cards up all the way as soon as I get my first new slot at the beginning of the second level? I get experience credit for destroying my own earth spell dots.
Whatever you do, don't try to leave a space open in your party, hire a new guy A, sell new guy A's gear, directly move guy B's gear to guy A, and then fire guy B. If you do, you will LOSE the gear you tried to transfer.
