It's pretty much bound to get badges come Thursday. Even if not then, you can absolutely guarantee that it'll receive badges at some point, so there's no sense demanding them. Oh, and the original got 5/5 from me, and since this one only improves upon the first...
What Wilnadric means to say is that he can't figure it out. And Bohunk, I think I've read somewhere that on slower computers it doesn't sync as well. I continue to come back to this game, and I think it's worthy of 5/5
There is a 'step by step instruction', if you spend 10 seconds watching on the main menu. If it takes you any longer than that to learn the game, well...
Echoing what many others have said, it really is far too easy. I didn't lose a single life for as long as I was trying. Still, it's a decent game, and as per usual I'd like to see it expanded on.
ScaryBug, alas, I haven't kept up on reading every game's comments =P.
I didn't mean to imply that you'd plagiarised the idea, simply that it _does_ exist elsewhere.
Also, there's a game quite similar to this called Massive Space TD. I'm not sure which was made first, so I'm not asserting that "One stole frum teh other, waaaah".
I beat it first go without coming anywhere near losing. Could have something to do with the fact that I'm obsessed with the TD genre... Anyway, I build about 5 Ion Cannons, along with 3 Bunkers covering the areas that got hit the most. Along with one Economic Centre, one Repair Base (backing up the cannons which were hit most frequently) and one Nuke Silo and extra cannons over time.
ElementalM, the most constructive feedback I can possibly leave is, _don't bother uploading demos_. Honestly, take your time making a game; you don't need a new one every few days. Even if it takes you a month or more, you're definitely going to get a far more positive response.
I'm running Ubuntu and the game has no problems, so not all Linux builds will encounter an error. Just thought I'd, y'know, leave something constructive here.
Very good effort, especially for an alpha version. The two things which got me are the language used (primarily the way the um... Sheep person spoke, e.g. "Just like an iPhone"), and the tech tree. It wasn't the UI of the tech tree, but the fact that I wasn't sure what I was gaining from upgrading. A bit of information about the next level of weapon would be nice.
If the game lags for you, seriously get a better computer! You couldn't complain if for example Half-Life 2 lagged, because it'd boil down to your machine. My _laptop_ never lags for any games on the site, and it has a 1500MHz processor.
