I actually recommend the SHOTGUN over all others. Your squad already has a pretty good amount of straight ahead firepower, along with a few directional shots. Your shotgun is enough to kill off all the dinky crap and blow up barrels. You cant really dodge with an entire squad, so killing the junk before they can spam bullets works MUCH better than waiting for missiles to recharge. Do this especially for ENDLESS to get the hard badge!!
Discovered a few tips: 1) You can just spam the same character (your best one) over and over and get combo. No need to use the other 2 characters as anything other than meatshields. And yeah your followers are usually better than you are, unless you pay2win. 2) You can SKIP the first turn of a boss fight (or any fight). What this does is make you attack with 14 AP instead of 7, thus allowing you to get a really big combo and stack up a lot of bonus damage. This might be worthwhile vs 1 big boss (vs 3 mini ones that you could kill in 1 turn) that can't 1 shot you.
I have to agree that the game is WAY unbalanced. Bosses on a level 2 encounter with THREE of them at 2300 health each? That can stun your dudes? Wayyy overpowered. Ridiculous.
Fun game. The Dmg guy is the strongest start with shotgun being awesome, and machine gun awesome. Get Scientist ASAP with Tesla. He totally owns and works great thru endgame. 3rd dude is mediocre until you can get 2 maxed Range upgrades and the Minelayer. Then he is solid. Don't stack mods of same type. Better to multply faster attack speed, more projectile, more dmg for bigger overall improvement.
I liked it. Missiles are absolutely terrible though since they all shoot at 1 foe and all disappear. So massive overkill. Avoid like the plague and use the fast shooters instead.
PROTIP: You can have a party of FOUR, like so: You... 2nd ally will ALWAYS be a Warrior, usually being your tank. You get 1 ally of your OWN faction, so same class as you. Finally, Commoners get a Wizard, merc/merchant gets a Ranger. ------ For equipment, various factions have differing top tier items. Merchants have Boots and Hands. Alliance has Hands, Chest. Wizard has Pants, Chest, staff, offhand. You can get Jewel several places as well as offhand. Hat&Feet are a problem with this config. -------Wizard seems to be best class. Lots of burst damage. Rangers kind of suck...way too much healing and junk. Not much offense. Not very good at kiting either.
Class Guide - MELEE: Consistent w/great start. Does 1.5k dmg and 50% dmg resist possible with his 2 party buffs. Good with another STR-champ but 2 Melee auras DONT STACK. VERT: 1k melee with up to 6 10% status effect or resist slots. Awful actives. 30 dexboost falls off over time. LOST: 1k bow attk. High magic stat as well as Dex. Stupid melee bow attack. Stealing skill effect unknown. ELACIAN: 1k magic attack. Summons turret that can hit for 1k per round for whole fight. DRONICLE: Boring. hits all foes but no good actives or anything. DISSIAN: OMG, overpowered. 0 MP card attack with random but amazing effects. TEZALOX: So bad. skills involve hurting enemies WHEN he DIES! wtf? CELGE: Magic attacks with status effects. Resists status effects himself and can make potions. Pretty versatile.------I recommend DISS for sure, and then either Celge/Lost/Elacian/Vert.
GUIDE: INT sucks bad, only affects MAGIC not elemental abilities or orbs and magic isnt very good. Dont overdo Health since you get free Health/Mana for every level up and it CAPS at 9999, dont wanna waste points. I HIGHLY recommend getting moderate health, a bit of mana but mostly you want Strength and Dex because a Wpn Attack does as much as your best 1-target spell and costs nothing. Lvl50 is the MAX. You want POISON except for the last spell and ICE except for last 3. You use ORBS/poison/attack to do dmg. Endgame strat is Corrupt poison, Poison Tree(lvl6) to heal u, spam FREEZE to prevent their healing.
Is there a Pass turn button? They looove dumping stupid weakness on me, and everyting drains my mana. So if I have no potions, I literally have nothing I can do but surrender and lose because I have no Attack and no MP.
One problem I have with the game is that sometimes your ships all explode in a giant chain reaction. Its not an area effect weapon blast either, my big swarm of ships all blow up and a huge explosion of lagfestness traces back in the direction they came from. WTF is that?
GUIDE: For first half of game, Gunships are your best offense by far as they can handle anything. Ignore med ships and hvys till you get Light Carrier(med), and Super Carrier(hvy), or Beamship(hvy). Start off, pause, drop as many big reactors as possible, then a line of turrets with barriers in front of them. Then start making a 2nd/3rd reactor, then gunships. Once you get Physics Lab, everything changes. On most levels, you need to build 1k worth of ships then spam Physics Labs with NO reactors at all. You rely on the huge volume of ships you create to overwhelm. Adding a few MINER ships is very strong on meteor levels and even not bad on normal levels to provide cheap fodder and get free money from beaming enemies.

UPDATE YOUR FLASH PLAYER. I all the sudden had huuge lag issues after playing a while and assumed it was due to memory management. But I updated the latest flash player and it fixed the problem.
