The good news is that buffs now have unlimited duration. So ice wall, etc is actually USEFUL after 2 worthless prior games. Unfortunately, he apparently gave half the damn monsters the ability to DISENCHANT ON HIT, so whats the freaking point?
MINIGUIDE: Demon is best race if you can start with it. The torso HUGELY helps your early gameplay so you don't have to re-pay admission price over and over. Werewolf isn't bad. Avoid Necro. Their payoffs are just WAY too lategame to matter.---Dungeoneering (as human, no previous achievemnets) is really hard to get started due to startup costs and lack of healing. I'd recommend instead hiring several dudes, give em a decent weapon and do squad battles to build up gold and equip for your main guy. ----Focus on LEARNING items early, only replacing with the Red-Chest items later. Moar skills >>> all else pretty much. ESPECIALLY save learning items for when crafting and stuff, ditto with +crafting items. Save in vault.
I really really hate the engagement range on the troops and how you can't disengage. They won't even do what you tell them to. Attack Ogre.... ok, they attack the stupid town.
GUIDE: As said, the PRONE spell negates ALL immunities from monsters, even though it lies and says only trap-negation!!! This makes it mandatory for any map past the first one.------There are only a few viable strategies in the game, so grind not needed. WARRIORS are key! Huge DPS, hard hitting to get thru armor and cheap. Spend all manuals on warriors. PALADINS are the second key. Upgrading them has no real effect so don't bother. Place them at the end of an endpoint or pier, where monsters have to go past them, around them, and past them again. The Mana Drain traps are by far the best as they generate tons of mana mid-lategame. Use Midas Touch spell on high armor foes to get extra cash out of them(and make it easier to kill). Dont bother with long mazes, the 5% regenerators and high barrack cost make these bad. Instead focus on upgrading that main Paladin, then some warriors.
Ok, these wraiths (unhittable by ANY of your units, only the worthless traps can hurt them), are some total BULLSHIT. What a terrible terrible idea, and not even a spell or unit to deal with it in any way. No good direct damage spells either. Bad design.
Wow, made it to class A then 1 loss and its all over. All the sudden my guys energy regen goes to crap, I lose and now takes 90 days to repair my mech. Needless to say, bankrupt. GG no RE 1/5
I dont like the Daily challenges lack of information. They arbitrarily cut off certain upgrades and change bloon order with no notice. Like the "wait what?" where I cant find any way to pop the lead bloons... theyve randomly cut off explosives which is fine, but also glue corrosive, boomerang upgrade, and various others. What the HELL am I supposed to be rushing towards?
The harder maps are more about how to take best advantage of your special agents. I buy property and max the Dart Tower booster which gives a free 200 dollar tower at 1,10,20,30. Place the freebie, then place a Bush at the very end and a tribal turtle. Spend NO money until you can drop a Banana Farm and its 1st upgrade. The idea is that you use your agents to let you get your banana income up as quickly as possible, since they aren't nearly as useful lategame. (well the bush stays pretty useful). Try to use the same Agents too for each map as they become Pro after X uses and gain a permanent benefit for no extra cost.
I really hate when they mass-assault. Its like playing Whack-a-hole. I have territories held, then they come in and screw it up. every territory I hold, they just take a new one.
OK this is just stupid. The Monkey God thing actually eats (sacrifices) OTHER MONKEY GODS!! How stupid is that? So you have to specifically NOT upgrade its range so you can space them out if you wanted multiples.
Fun game, though I am not a big fan of 'paying for cheats' basically. Thats pretty much what the premium store is, since EVERYTHING is money-grubbing premium content and/or limited use. Who the hells gonna spend 500 bucks for a 1 shot item on any map, that is guaranteed to give you way less than 500, best case scenario.
This is a fun game, but man...these thieves are just plain bullshit. I have a veritable ARMY of the bastards every single night. Even if you have 1000000000 security you still lose lots of money unless you MANUALLY CLICK on the coins to recover which is ridiculous.
One easy improvement is to have it AUTOMATICALLY harvest the towers but only when they are maxed out. If the player wants to get resources early fine. This might be a good compromise between collection manually and those that want auto-collect.
