I'm with david on this, with Prestige set up the way it is, there's no point to it. Even your intention for it isn't accomplished. By doubling the mineral value AND the upgrade prices, it neither makes it easier or harder. It accomplishes nothing, it's the same thing, just with higher numbers.
Virozui, it's right where you'd expect it to be. Under Configuration (A.K.A. options.) The only real flaw I see, is the ridiculous font the developer/programmer decided to use. I can't tell what some of the letters and numbers are with how screwed up the text looks. Why can't people just use BASIC fonts? No, we have to have the curly crap or the warped digital crap that's almost painful to try and read.
Too easy..Timing based, and if you aren't completely inept with timing you can pretty much keep going until your computer fries. There's not really anything to draw a player back..Some people will keep playing because they think it's cute, or they find this game particularly fun for some reason. Most people likely won't fall into those categories, as evidenced by it's 358k plays in three years. Not a bad game, but needs more thought put into drawing players back to it.
That was an odd bug though..I reloaded the browser page and apparently it works now. Not sure what caused it to begin with, but it did run the A10 ad twice before the game started. Perhaps that will help point the dev in the right direction to finding out what caused it?
Just because you wasted money to become a Kong Plus member doesn't give you the right to talk condescendingly to others you pretentious snob. If you'd actually read my post you'd see my problem had nothing to do with killing the enemies, bu everything to do with the game being bugged and unplayable. Next time, before you start vomitting your arrogance on others, try reading what the other person posted kiddo.
It'd be nice if I had money to place my first tower in the forced tutorial. Oh, and perhaps a "skip tutorial" button would be nice. Y'know, since I've been playing games for a quarter of a century now. Since I have no money to place that first tower your tutorial insists on me placing, I'm stuck and can go no further. No Tesla Defense for me I guess.
Part 2: This isn't a problem in some games, but in games like the one you've made it can be crippling. The gems you grab don't respawn, your income is fixed and can never go beyond what you can grab. There appear to be other things going on, some of which seem to be actual bugs. For instance, I had 31 gold, I bought a Torch. My gold total dropped to 10, then every other torch after that was only 5 gold. Why'd the first one cost 21? There's not enough information to really tell if it's a bug, but it seems to be. I just noticed too, I can't grab gems in mid-jump? Really? Does the dwarf looking gentleman I'm playing as suddenly lose all control over his arms in mid air? And on the start screen with the shops, instead of Game Title it should say "Greed for Gems" shouldn't it?
Part 1: Yes, let's make build the SAME DAMN BUTTON as collect..Why would we want to try and grab the gem that's within jumping reach WITHOUT building a ladder we have to spend our money on? I understand this was made for one of the Ludum Dare challenges, but you seriously need to put more thought into your control schemes. There's a whole keyboard available guys, you have four possible actions per person playing, you require no more than 16 keys to link actions to (8 total for single player.) This is fairly basic stuff, and tells me you didn't have an experience gamer do a quick play test to determine what (if any,) bugs existed in the game. This kind of thing irritates the crap out of me and quite honestly, it shouldn't ever happen either. If you look at it from my perspective, you (the player) wind up wasting valuable resources because the two actions are linked to the same button.
"You caused an accident!" Uh, at least there's a cop RIGHT BEHIND you to mediate "Well sir, you were driving like a jackass, so you're getting the ticket here."
@kkfenix You do realize that jewelry wasn't cookie-cutter assembly made in that time, yes? It was hard to make, and expensive, the odds of anyone finding a CRATE of jewelry are about slim to none. You certainly wouldn't find a crate of Brooches either, maybe a chest of random pieces of jewelry but that's an extreme stretch too. Barring kingdom treasuries, jewelry generally wasn't kept in massive piles, something about being too big a target. If you think about it, M's right and logic dictates you would NOT find a 100+ pound stash of jewelry. Seriously, that'd be over 100 pounds of gold and precious gems, you'd be able to retire.
That's a mathematical error right there..I'm not sure what level my upgrades are at, but I'm in the Mine which nets me 350% EXP and 450% Cash for my Auto-clicks. My upgrades say 460% EXP and 820% Cash, but the added totals are higher than what's shown in the upper left corner. It should be 810% EXP and 1270% Cash, but it says 770% EXP and 1230% Cash. Either I'm hallucinating these numbers, or you've got a fairly serious error with the math end of this game.
There's supposed to be a save feature bara, it's just not working right for some reason. doge and loop are right, the set-up for the bosses is wrong. If you fail to kill it, you should start over from the last check-point so you can earn more gold (start of game/last boss killed.) I also agree with H4wx, there should be some kind of Magnet upgrade. The only times I really get hit are when I'm running around trying to grab the coins.
Dear Developer, you must be somewhat new to this as you've made the #1 error every Developer has ever made. You've stupidly placed a link to your sponsor's website IN the area players are most likely to click. This is beyond annoying and often results in screwing the player over. Either correct it this time, or make a note and do NOT repeat your mistake again. This has been known to ruin developers in the past, try to learn from the mistakes of others.
I feel this needs to be said..Some Blackfoot Gnolls set a storage shed on fire. Crap happens, yes? My problem however, is I lost forty percent of the COPPER that was stored in it. Are we stoned, or just not paying any attention whatsoever? Metal melts, but isn't destroyed by heat. Kinda goes with the territory y'know. Perchance one could take a little more of reality's physics into consideration in future versions?
Oh, and a note to Mr. Bearbull. You ARE ascending the tower one floor at a time, but there's three hundred floors. With that many, not all of them would have someone or something on them.
This was my thought, yes, original it was random floors and so on, but there were little bugs popping up so I tried to make it have more solid and set numbers for the sake of ease.
I'm a ranger. I can use a wide variety of abilities but my most useful one is clearly First Aid. However! Under no circumstances could I EVER use such a helpful skill outside of battle, that makes FAR too much sense. (Note to all developers, don't ever make a game where you can't use healing abilities outside of battle. It makes me question both your logic, and the intellect of the person I'm playing the role of.)
*clicks "Your Name"* "Whoo, yooou eye dooozzz like [Hiccup] eh? Whoo." *clicks "Need Help?"* "-This person does not need any help at the moment.-" Liar! This person is a raging alcoholic, he needs serious help!
I normally like games like this, but your A.I. really is ridiculous..Hyper fast, and they're ALL oriented far too much against you for it to really be fair. I can already hear some smartaleck saying "Maybe you just suck." Maybe I do, maybe I don't. A truly smart person would review the rest of the comments, notice how most of them are overwhelmingly complaining about the difficulty? Yeah, there's your first clue. It's not a bad game, but you seriously need a play tester. If you already have one I'd replace him/her/it with someone that ACTUALLY knows what they're doing.
Part 2! And finally, #3: QUIT YOUR WHINING! Crying little babies.."Oh, boohoo, it's too hard.." Go play something from the NES THEN come talk to me about hard you ungrateful brats. I was raised on games where you really didn't get instructions and the difficulty varied between "Nap time." and "RUN, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" There were no mini-maps, there weren't really any cheat codes for the most part either. You had to grow a spine and FIGURE the game out yourself. Alright, I'm outta here then, hopefully I've helped enlighten a few people around here.
(P.S. MoratGurgeh! I feel I need to say this..I've been playing video games for about 26 years now, if you're whining about a little cramp then you've got serious issues with your hand/wrist. Go see a doctor, seriously. It's probably just a horrible case of carpal tunnel, but it might be more serious than that.)
This was my thought, yes, original it was random floors and so on, but there were little bugs popping up so I tried to make it have more solid and set numbers for the sake of ease.
