Considering the danger of infection and the like, any time a group of "robbers" would get shot at they run in sheer, unadulterated terror. One gunshot wound, fatal or not, is guaranteed to kill you. Hell, even a small cut would likely cost you your life, so I'm thinking the number of "robbers" would dwindle VERY quickly.
longer than Fullmetal Alchemist. Transmutor is a word. They can't have copywritten either of them. My apologies on the broken comment, accidentally hit tab and space so it auto-posted it.
So...Basically TMNT with guns? The game play isn't too bad, at least the controls aren't broken. The graphics are decent, the music is repetitive and irritating. The story line is so far out there that one can't even grasp at straws to validate it. With all that said, I'm gonna give you a 2/5 rating. It's not too bad, but it does need work.
You know what's really shocking? The people working at Kong actually gave THIS heap of garbage badges, while fairly decent games continually get over looked. Anyone else confused by this? In the gaming world, there is no such thing as "It's so bad, it's good!" If it sucks, it sucks..And do I really need to go over the reasons why? Everyone else has dozens of times. Poor controls, bad enemy AI, even worse graphics..I'd say "Well, go ahead and polish the game up guys!" but considering it's been here since 2,008 I doubt that's going to happen.
Not bad for your first game, but I seriously dislike how far off the monsters can spot you. I can't even begin to see them and they're already shooting at me, seems a little one-sided in their favor in that respect. The ONLY reason this isn't a game-breaking set up is because the projectiles are some what slow and can be dodged. Honestly though, this seems like a bad remake of Doom. Seriously, the floating eye monster things are essentially Caco Demons from Doom. You've already gotten some good suggestions..Make a skill tree. You level up? You can put points into something. Expand on it, the way it is now it's gonna get boring quick to most people.
Yeah this was a 6-week learning project for me a number of years ago. I am currently working on a hack-n-slash rpg but it is not likely I will post it on kongregate. Needless to say, it is far, far beyond what I did here.
#2: If you can't USE a block, lock the upgrades in the shop menu until they're ready in the game area. Obviously, if you play old levels you won't be able to use them, but at least you'll know when they're unlocked. There's nothing to tell you WHAT the different blocks do, and that is easily the biggest flaw of the whole game. Strategy games are based on KNOWING what the different defenses are capable of. How can you effectively plan a defense without prior knowledge of what said defenses do? Random luck? Doesn't seem much like planned strategy to me. If the whole strategy is "pick up shield block, drop it to crush opponents" then this game is going to get very boring, very fast. I won't get into the physics of it, it's a game, I don't care if it's possible or not as that isn't the point. But, you really need to polish this thing if you expect good scores from those of us who are actual gamers.
Alright, Page 1: octogone, you're either lazy or blind. The X in the upper right corner is the "exit" button for the shop. Now, "hahaownedlolz" clearly has no clue what he/she/it is talking about. 5/5 game design? Are you insane or just stupid? There's no tool-tip pop-ups to explain the upgrades, and while you can GUESS what they do you can't be entirely certain until after you've bought one. This game is riddled with minor flaws that, when combined together, really hamper the enjoyment of what could be a great game. Nothing to tell you "Hey, you can pull NEW blocks from the bottom of the play area." Or, "Just because you buy a block, doesn't mean you get to use it. LAWL!" Seems like the designer was going more for trolling than thought out upgrade paths.
You're forgetting the most important part ad3ross. Without said atmosphere providing pressure against your body, you literally explode. Your innards become outtards, and instantly freeze due to the icy temperature of absolute zero.
No kaihegon, but if you've got enough to afford it, it may be in your best interest to get them. Besides, later on you make far more angel investors than any of the upgrades cost. I make up the costs of the upgrades in a couple minutes at this point.
I notice you raised the cost of everything by quite a bit. The game progresses about only half as fast, if not even slower, as it did a week ago. For some people, that'll be a turn off because this game doesn't offer much else to keep your attention. I know, I know, "but it are teh eyedole gamez, yure not posed to pay uhtenshuns to its!" Some people actually enjoy PLAYING the game though, most idle games don't do much at all because they offer too little interactivity. That same thought pattern rings true for me too, now it progresses too slow and is pretty boring to me.
I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug or not, but I'm using the level 5 Bone Blade, which grants 100% immunity to Curse. Yet Matt's still getting cursed from the Bone Armor and Demon Skull. Hopefully this is a bug and will get fixed, if not the "bone" equipment is basically junk and not worth using.
Also, one other thought..In terms of actual, proven science, Tungsten is the second hardest mineral known to man. On the hardness scale I read, it was rated as 9.5, whereas diamonds were 10. Also, Titanium isn't a mineral, it's an alloy. It would never be found in nature, and I'm sure it isn't the only "mineral" featured here that wouldn't exist in nature either.
