desci: Indirectly yes, any and all card purchases at the store give you ingots. Wasted what? Ingots? You end up gradually upgrading all anyway, so long-term there's no "waste".

Another quality of life suggestion: In the skill details, display on top the current skill level/progress and possibly also differentiate the available materials versus the ones you can't use yet. Like under Axemanship for me, have Lv 52 displayed on top and have Lead Axe through Steelflame Axe crossed out since they're still too high-level.

An (better) explanation of the arrow-making process somewhere (Archery Shop?) would be appreciated. I get that Hemp makes bow-string, and that goes on unstrung bow. I also have crafted arrow heads out of multiple metals... but have no idea how to attach to the unfinished arrow shafts I created from wood + feather. At the least, I can't seem to attach copper arrow heads onto birch arrow shafts. I even tried getting extra hemp and see if that lets me tie it on...nope.

Arrows require feathers and then they can have heads attached. I've added a tooltip so mousing over the arrow shaft will say this explicitly. Thanks for the suggestion!

Not sure if people experiencing the save/load issue have the same symptoms, but I just ran into one myself: inventory and bank, skill levels all are retained, but Alchemy recipes are reset to blank, followers are removed, and locations available are reset back to only Quepland Fields. More inconvenience (and a loss of 5k on Lumpy the Gnome who I lost) than anything, but with no other way for load/save, I'm going to have to put this on hold.

A small request: if an enemy you defeat drops an item, please list that in the events log. Otherwise it's an entire guessing game figuring out where the dropped item is in the inventory.

Not quite sure what purpose followers have? Aside from letting you gain exp without worrying about inventory space, they have the massive disadvantage in itself that you lose out on the sellable materials. I was half expecting Lumpy to sell the logs he carried off, but not seeing any usefulness out of him aside from that exp bit.

Difficult, but relatively short. Frustrating at times because the smallest mistake or delay sends you all the way back to the beginning of the level, which made the last two levels rather annoying...maybe a save-state or save points to return to? Rather glad that the 8.5c threshold doesn't require absolute precision to reach. The dash-into-wall glitch happened to me at one point as well in the last level, by the second mana... maybe double-dashing into the wall sometimes causes it?

I designed the maps to be very small so that if you die you don't have to redo much stuff, if I would implement checkpoints I should rework the game from the ground up... About that wall glitch I'm about to fix it. Tomorrow. I'm also working on additional levels, outside of the main story mode :)

There's something to be said about the first 10 comments here being all from lv1 fake accounts, and the "dev" of this game having uploaded some 30 games or so in the span of about 2 months. I could give you the benefit of the doubt that you really did make these games...but I have to agree, this is Hammer 2 with a different title. Even the thumbnail pic is exactly the same layout.

In all honesty, I imagined the friend is actually in the "fantastic food machine" dropping all those dishes onto the square guy. So, there you go for "where is the other guy?" question. Quick and easy, I like it. Now, if you went the route of upgrades, added "day" mechanism and crazy things like decorations, you end up with a Papa's Pukeria copy-cat, and nobody wants that.

That definitely makes sense, but as a matter of fact, your friend is actually in the front of the restaurant to greet and seat the customers. You can see him standing there if you walk all the way to the right. And yeah I definitely agree that adding to many extra complexities to the game could make it feel weird, so there's probably a balance point somewhere. :)

Impossible and Hard Badges aren't given out like candy, and for a good reason: it's supposed to be hard, it's supposed to take extreme skill and effort to obtain. This game separates those self-entitled whiners versus those that actually do put in the effort. The BotD by itself is a 2-minute effort, if this game isn't for you, at least put in that. If you can't, you've just shown how short-tempered you are.

I had to grind. But the most tedious part was only the initial lv1->3 part when spiders were too tough and the imps weren't really worth juggling potions for. But once I got through that, it was just a matter of clearing whole levels to make sure I level up steadily. The puzzles were sometimes frustrating but not too bad. Got Ending 1 and Ending 3

Among other things, what's the point of "Awake points" when it refills back up to max by the time missions you started finish? I mean, it refills at a rate of about 1/minute, when even the 2nd mission only costs 3 Awake Points but takes 10 minutes to finish.

Yes for first missions Awake points regeneration is higher compared with consumption, but later on in the game it will be opposite.
