I never truly liked the other games with this kind of "Character Creation". It leaves only a few good real combinations, and that's always bugged me. The game itself it decent, however. Game mechanics are a bit jumpy, especially with enemies being able to see you from far outside of your own view. Graphics could do a lot better, as well as the things the characters say in-game. Truly, there's nothing new here. Concept is unoriginal, gameplay is very basic, and the levels are extremely predictable. Overall, it could've been set up a lot better. 3/5, since nothing truly stands out to me. Good luck with the sequel, though.
Seeing that this game was still up on the Hot New Games list, I decided to come back in and hope for an update. After playing through the Bronze Arc a bit, I've found that my previous comment has been answered kindly. I will change my rating to a 5/5. Great work.
Before the Fame System began to make sense, I had extremely high expects for the bulk of the game, based on what I saw at the beginning. Simple graphics, an original concept, smooth gameplay, and a nice Grade system. After I began having to drop people from my list, everything started to go downhill. My team was quickly shortened to one long-lasting member, than two. After a while, I lost a tournament on accident, and had to drop them both, leaving me with only a starter team. That's where I stopped playing entirely, since after a while, you learn that having two 30-Grade characters is almost a requirement for some things. Especially when one of them was a healer. Overall, for what it's worth, I'll give this game a 4/5. If the Fame system was either nerfed to hell, or taken down entirely, I'd probably give it a full rating. Great work, though. I may come back and finish the game some time soon.
I started playing this game a few days ago, and have slowly been working on it up until now. The storyline, although the graphics used for it were horrible compared to the in-game graphics, was actually decent. The in-game mechanics were solid for the levels I played, and the power-ups were actually useful. Although I didn't make it to the end of the game, I get a general feel of what it consisted of, by looking back at the story clips and the badge. Overall, I'll give this game a 4/5. I may come back at some point to collect the badges, but that's some time away. Great work.
Ah, the joys of "playing" something which isn't even a game. Wait, that's no joy at all. Not even a bit. No gameplay, no real incentive to keep going after the first five clicks. While the graphics are somewhat decent, and I'm sure that the story stands out to someone else, I only give ratings to actual games. I'll just leave it at that, and be on my way. Try submitting something that actually sparks the interest of gamers when submitting to a game site in the future. It would save you a lot of trouble in the comments area.
While I would simply love to slap a low rating on this because of the cost, I decided to actually play the game before I did that. I found that, naturally, the graphics aren't as good as many of the other *free* games here. Gameplay, although it has a sort of beat after a certain point, was more work than fun. While I wasn't attempting to time everything exactly on the mark, I decided to look at the graphics. Not much new there, either, so I took a look at the main back plot. The idea of people, shifting gravity, leaping through spike puzzles, and such, is simply... Not new. Overall, I'll give the game a 2/5 for effort, but it's definitely not worth the money.
Once again, Armor Games never ceases to sponsor some of the most astounding game creators and their creations. Although my thoughts on this game were a bit shaken at first due to the difficulty curve of the Campaign mode, I found that online multiplayer was the perfect option for this game. The graphics were brilliant, as were the special effects used in the animations. Gameplay is solid, with only a few minor glitches. The storyline in the Campaign mode left me with more questions than answers, though, which leaves me to believe that there may me a continuation to this at some point. This is one of the few games which I would gladly welcome an addition to. Overall, this is likely the one of the best multiplayer-oriented game on Kongregate. 5/5 from me, and this will be the second game I add to my favorites. Well done.
I actually thought the first game was decent, at the time I'd played it. I wasn't as pleased with the sequel. With the addition of lightning-reflex timers put on some of the things here, it takes a while to get through several parts of the story. The fact that there are almost no indicators at all doesn't help at all, either. The storyline is the only thing preventing me from giving this a one-star and being done with it. Instead, I'll be generous and give it a 2/5, and leave before looking at the BubbleBox logo for too long makes me lose my lunch.
I never truly appreciated the first installment of this series. Sadly, this game isn't any better. I was only able to stomach the first level of this, as I figured it would end much as the first did also -- dull and repetitive. Once I got back to the menu, I was kindly treated to a false hope of anything good being in this remake of the game. The customizations system are basically ruined in the current system, as anything you want to add is bogged down by how much it weighs. That almost ruins the point entirely, as only a few specific combinations would work at all. Also, a good tip, never add site-specific content when your publisher is something that horrid. I almost instantly gave up all hope when I saw the premium content. Overall, this game could've done so much better. 2/5 is the highest I'll go with what's given here. Try for a better publisher next time, it makes the entire game look better.
I come here, hoping to find a horrible game that I can provide accurate feedback for, and I'm left with a great game that I can only give a blunt good review for. Perhaps it's the style of the game that's making it so hard for me to wrap it up early and just give it a high rating, but I'll try to think about it for a second. The graphics, at first, seemed a bit off. However, once I played through it a lot, it became clear that they were supposed to look like they do. The upgrade system was alright, but it took a little while at first to stack up on strength. Map design was great, for the most part. There were a few times it took a while to find the right hallway in the castle, but it still didn't take long to find the end. Originality is always a plus in a game like this. Picking a publisher I don't hate is also a bonus. Overall, I'll stick a 4/5 on this. I hope to see something more coming from this, as it seemed pretty short to me.
At first, I thought this would be another half-made joke of a game, much as many others made these days come out to be. However, I was kindly treated to a working system, a unique concept, well-made graphics, and a great game in general. My only two problems at all with this game are the fact that there is no auto-heal / Heal All feature, and there should truly be more upgrades. I found myself to have them all by the fourth level, which was actually a bit disappointing. Aside from that, this is an outstanding game, and I only wish I had the time to finish it -- I had to stop at Level 7, as I had things to do. Until the main features are fixed, I will make my initial rating a 3/5. I'll push it up to a four once they're fixed.
I've seen worse. And by that, I speak of some of the other games BubbleBox has let pass. As a game in general, however, this is nothing more than horrid. The faces on the shapes originate directly from South Park, as almost everyone else here has mentioned. Some levels take more timing than thought, and others simply don't make sense at all. Physics are severely lacking here, also. Also, it seems like this game was very rushed. Try to think out every aspect of the game before publishing. Especially the physics. 2/5, for a below-average game.
Oh goody, another half-thought game. Plainly, the thoughts behind this game weren't being developed for a long enough time. While the main ideas were unique, to say the least, but the execution was horrible. I found myself sitting in the same levels for an hour before I even stood a chance in the first boss fight. The level-up system is on a lower-than-average scale here, as the grinding takes up far too much time with very little reward. Shop system isn't anything worth mentioning, either. Oh, and I think the "dragon" hit it's head on the way out of the egg. Overall, I'll give this game a 2/5. The ideas were good, as I mentioned earlier. If more time was spent on the execution of the ideas, this might've been a fun game.
While I'd like to think up a thousand reasons as to why this game simply didn't appeal to me, I can't help but think that it was mainly the fact that it was King that sponsored it. The graphics weren't exactly what I would put down as average, either. Nor were the gameplay or physics for that matter. I'll just leave it at that, and put a 3/5 on this.
Repetitive and slightly annoying gameplay at first, especially if you chose random things in the beginning. Dungeon setup could be a lot better, as Duke mentioned. Stress needs to be reworked a lot, as far as playing a main role in the entire game. Once you get a good grasp on the game, though, it's still not much different. Some of the dungeon difficulties skyrocket compared to others, and it forces you to stick with a single combat type through pretty much the entire second half of the game. Graphics are decent, for a game on this scale. Storyline is also decent. I'll wrap this up early, as I could've put down a good page or so of feedback on something like this, and give it a 3/5. If another game is made based after this one, try reworking the Stress feature.
Nothing really new here. The graphics are hardly above average for this sort of game, and the enemies are also very basic. Upgrades are the only thing from making me give this a two-star rating. However, because you put some level of effort into this, I'll give it a 3/5. Also, make it clear that you can't go back to get more money from past levels. It almost ruins the point of level selection.
I always disliked the Bloons TD games. With about 75% of the game being premium-only now, I won't rate this game anywhere above a 2/5, regardless of game quality. I have no respect at all for those who pay more attention to getting money from the game than putting effort into it.
This game doesn't really bring anything new to the table. Graphics are below average, gameplay gets repetitive, and as others have said, there are major glitches here. 2/5, for a slightly-below-average game.
