I enjoyed the simplicity of the concept, though there could have been more challenge as I ran through all the levels pretty easily. The graphics were adequate, but could have been a little better. Nice little game.
I played a vagrant to level 11, while I liked the idea it does have some problems. There are only 2 kinds of enemy levels, and it resets each time you go back to the real world. The drones are harder than the spiders, so you can just keep resetting the level until you get the spiders. I had to dump almost every point I gained into perception and +hit% skills, as well as +hit% equipment and I still was only getting 75%+ hit chances on level 11. That takes all the fun out of building a character because you have to spend all your points in perception. Finally, by the time you've decked yourself out in half decent equipment and have a reasonable chance to hit enemies, you realize the game has no end and no point. Still, good idea and I'd like to see a sequel.
Really cool concept, I like the multiple outcomes. Graphics are perfectly fine for what is being done here, and some nicely done written pieces. It's a little short, and lacking in any kind of real gameplay; a standard platformer from this idea would potentially make for a great game.
I hate meta. Stupid point. I admit I had fun making my ship in whatever configuration I wanted, and it was cool to see everything transform, so it's worth the 10-15 minutes it takes to clear it. I'd like to see a real game with that ship building concept though. The only problem I had with it was that when you click on the ship pieces to upgrade them they tend to move out of place.
I liked this quite a bit, but it was just so short. It needs more missions, weapons, enemies, systems, etc. Hope to see a sequel with more content! Also, I beat the game with no problems using only shields, armour, reactor and main cannon upgrades. I didn't need to use Jump engines, missles, havoc or any other special upgrade at all. For the last guy, just shoot him as you pass by, then wait for your shield to regenerate and do it again. Rinse and repeat - you can't really lose.
Well, rudy you have outdone yourself here. Bringing us closer to the action is a nice touch and I liked all the unlockables and upgrades. Definitely a lot of fun, if a bit grindy. There's something wrong when you cast spells...I have to keep clicking, it doesnt execute on the first click for some reason. That was the only thing that bothered me about the game. Great job.
Nice, polished platformer, with some interesting visual effects. I didn't get very far with it (stuck against a wall on 1.1?) but I liked how you smashed and jumped up to unlock secrets and such. There weren't any instant death pits with a series of jumps that have to be perfectly timed or you start over - so that's something. I felt a bit disappointed when I got to the shop. There wasn't much there to buy. And the jump attacking does get old pretty quick.. maybe it gets spruced up on later levels.
Not a bad game but in my opinion there really needs to be somewhere to learn what you can do. I kept getting stuck because I had no idea my men would block each other, leapfrog each other, etc. It gets frustrating learning the game this way, especially when there aren't big margins for error on the timings. Also, I wasn't a big fan of the invisible level, although when I think about it that level represents this game perfectly.
Wow, it's the ultimate tower defense game. There's so much to do, plus multiplayer mode adds a whole new dimension to it. This game has legs. Really good job.
I just do not have the patience for these escape games, though this was better than most. It's the item combinations that get me - like how the hell does a rod and a budda make a crowbar? The built in walkthrough won't help you figure that out either. The story is done very well, but the ending was a let down. Give me something for crying out loud - they just blast off and thats it? Come on! At least I was interested enough to care I suppose...
It's another series of crappy minigames strung together, and there are penguins. Most of the puzzles are simple, some are rather oblique, and I was going to slap the old average rating on this and move on until I came to level 22. I'm at a loss for words how to describe this, except to say that there is simply no way I am swallowing that turd. Do you hear me, me and the key? I REFUSE!
This is broken garbage, pure and simple. As others have pointed out, the bridge seems to collapse at random, the physics don't work the same way twice and the actual bridge designing has very little realism, turning the game into an exercise in frustrating trial and error. The only question here is WHY so many people up-rated this? Truly bizarre. If you want to play a similar type of game that doesn't suck, try Fantastic Contraption.
This is pretty much how a game like this should be done. Sixty mostly SHORT levels to unlock based on how many kills you get is perfect. All upgrades are weapons, good against different types of enemies and enemy attack, adding a layer of strategy. Ships and game graphics are decent and appropriate even if they didn't blow me away. There are no powerups, but there are so many weapons I'm not sure how much they would really add to it.
I love the creepy flavor and innovative puzzle/platformer gameplay. The art style and sound effects are done very well, and the gameplay is simple/challenging enough in the right measures.
