Thanks a lot and that's the plan :) I've been a Kong player since the beginning and I love flash-style games so I'm no different than you guys. I think there's a ton of room for innovation and I plan to keep proving that statement is true. Game #3 is having some dev speedbumps but expect to play it in a month or two!
Very grindy to get the upgrades, very taxing on the fingers to keep spamming attacks too. The vial that grants invincibility is too OP. You could bruteforce all the bosses. It didn't feel like a bullethell but more of a button masher. Also the normal enemies are too tiny, I can't see them and it felt very dirty when they split and you are attacking them, you can still easily get hurt from the new circle of fireballs from the little ones. Found the javelin quite useless other than additional DPS and is a waste of money. Are the top upgrades from blacksmith even worth the time? Also bummer that New Game + was nothing new.
Hey Playsaurus! After giving the game a couple more tries, I actually think its very winnable now, but with the right roles. Not sure if its just me but I find that the Druid and the Hunteress to be the most OP and easily winnable roles even in Hard mode. But in other roles like the Wizard, I really struggled alot and it boils down to heavy RNG (by hoping the replaced cards give you something favourable). Another slight discomfort is the op scroll of greed which can literally change games. I had 400 gold at one point with 2 scrolls. Mixed feelings about this, even tho its a rogue-like I feel that landing on this scroll doesn't feel like I have improved my skill in the game, I was just super lucky. Maybe if every game had a guaranteed presence of 1-2 scrolls, then going out of my way to visit all shops to find it would make it justifiable as a skill/strategy. Just my 2cents. Keep up with the great game!
Build path to win the game as Wizard: 1) Get another item good for attacking (Knight Sword), 2) Get a stun item and upgrade it (Uses food or energy), 3) Upgrade Gems as much as you can (around 2 points in card drawing can help too) | Final boss hint: Hes overpowered as heck, draws on every hit, heals 80hp and all ailments, poisons for 50 after CHARGING (yes this carries over rounds, you can't stop it) just 25 cards. How to win: 1) Draw cards with Gems, 2) Hit him with all you got, 3) Stun him before he can use all his cards, 4) Rinse and repeat. Potions to help refresh cooldowns may help too. Aim to collect these items and collect as much chips as possible since day 1 (you will not have enough)!!
The game is incredibly fun (at the start), but also incredibly tough, way too tough. Too much boils down to RNG (Casino, item placement, drawing of cards) and there is no room for error to be made. Even on easy mode and cheating via export/import of saves, it took HOURS and tons of retries to even just beat the game. A lot of enemies and items are unbalanced. E.g. The final boss setup is too brutal, if you don't tailor your build for it since the very first step, its impossible to win. I was so disappointed when I first made it all the way to the final boss in the first playthrough. But if you have an very unbalanced upgraded stun item (the one that uses energy or food), you can win the whole game and it makes the final boss a breeze, but without it, its near impossible. Felt very unsatisfied that theres nothing at the end and the reward was a mere 50xp that I got nothing to show for. Very anti-climatic and frustrating to play through after a while.
We're not going to make the game any easier, because the game is very winnable on easy (without cheating!) if you get good enough. I think you have a good point about the win XP, we can probably give you a big bonus to XP, at least on your first win.
Great game! Very entertaining. RNG is hellish tho. The opponent could score a field goal under 10 seconds and a touchdown within 30 seconds, but to do so on my own team is impossible. Frustrating to not be able to choose when I want to try for field goals. Also weird that kickers keeps getting injured easily.
Entertaining short game. A little tedious and boring to backtrack and got really old fast. Also no proper ending, didn't feel any sense of accomplishment really.
It doesn't pay the bills because you haven't improved since and this is just another repackaged version of infinite dungeon RPG which was really bad btw. Way too dated and boring.
Loving this game so far and been ranked in every category. Some tips are that headshots play a huge role for points and so do accuracy, so it pays to aim rather than spray.
One little annoyance is that in the sniper games, the dudes will fall flat with their heads away from your line of fire making it impossible to get a headshot which is really frustrating. Other than that, 5/5.
The platform, artwork and goofyness is just awesome. However, didn't really enjoy the rhythm aspect as it feels like merely a mini-game for the platformer.
too dark, hard to really see anything. The camera "tasks" seem really tedious to do to keep dragging it around. Also theres no way to review the textboxes. Some of the key information needed to progress (like the gravestones in the first level) is lost if you don't read the textboxes properly in the first time. Really bad playability but the ambience saved it some how. 2/5
Good to hear, thanks for playing!
