holy crap is this stupid. I jump 50,000 feet to get a dude, slide another 1,000ft and also go through transporters, and can't seem to figure out how to jump off the guy? really? and who uses the Down arrow to jump UP?! this sucks
how to make it NOT pick up weapon you walk over? I'm constantly picking up useless weapons instead of keeping the pipe. and why does reload take about a minute?! I suck at this game!
can't play well enough with the serious lag. got to lvl 20 through sheer repetition and willpower (each level has to be started min 5 times with the lag problem). I know some people aren't experiencing this and some are. is it a browser thing? flash version? don't know, but not clean code.
somewhat fun game without the lag problem. 50lvls is to much either way though.
certainly better than the 1st, but I don't really like either. played this one til lat guy, can't beat him - i fail, ha. not terribly interesting though, don't care about story. right amount of levels though, great tutorial and good execution overall (perhaps add in better explanation of getting around map and shop though).
it's funny because a lot of folks here are bashing the randomness of the ant movement and the inability to build a maze. yet, if it was like that, these same folks would be saying it's just another TD.... And while it is old, at least it's different. Clearly there are several decent strategies to get people to levels 50-70, which is nice to have variety; but what about beyond? a speed up button would be nice. there's too many gun options actually for my liking. game got a bit laggy too.
Actually there is a better TD that does use drawing shapes for specific towers (glyphs). Only played through lvl 10 and it's too easy. I just use and upgrade basic tower and win. sometimes i have to use pencil to grab a straggler, but I could just as easily let them pass. too many lvls, not enough variation. extra towers are variation, but I find them useless. pencil is annoying. graphics are fun and concept is sound though. explained well, loads well, has pause button, so those are good.
amusing, but not really too much fun. I'm too stupid to shoot, steer, avoid Xs and hit 50 different letters to do something. but really, you don't need to; auto-fire and just avoid everything until boss. meh.
pixel hunting refers to the annoying retrying you have to do in this game. ie, you know the basic direction and magnitude you want to shoot, but the physics is so bad, if you're cursor is not on the exact correct pixel, you will not get the goal. so you try 10 tens to get on the correct pixel to get past the level. not fun at all. Okeydoke - no, you do not have to ace all 50 lvls, just complete them.
through 40 lvls and it's not the pixel hunting that's annoying, it's the randomness. you just try a level 5 different ways until it bounces correctly. it's rarely intuitive after it has to bounce off 2 walls, 3 corners, etc. not really fun. amusing concept and we had the 1st game, so this one should have been 15-20 fun lvls max and 1 badge. also, since there is nothing gained (like power ups, more lives, whatever) by completing a lvl, lvls should not be locked. so we don't have to pull our hair out on 1 stupid lvl to finish the rest and come back to that one later. only going to finish this for the badge.
and remove levels 14 and 15, too laggy and just not needed - you've either won or not by then. as for strategy and money someone brought up - no, just buy the $100 gun and upgrade it. maybe get a laser when you have the cash, the rest are useless. the lack of save is also annoying.
I would have rated higher, but the LAAAAAAG makes me want to kill. My comp is fine, play 100s of games, the lag on this one was ridiculous. Also annoyed that I had to redo to get badge. But, on the plus side, was interesting and not too long.
