A couple of questions: Do Holy Gems provide any bonus in and of themselves? Or do you have to spend them?
What does the airhorn accomplish? Is it just a button to click, or does it actually change the game progression?
It looks like it's giving me the next quote, not the current one, It gave me another "un-earned' quote as soon as I got "Advice" for # 6. I don't know if I'll be around for "ANYONE", which is the last word I need for #7, but if I see it, I'll let you know.
From Wikipedia:""Redskin" is a slang term for Native Americans defined in current dictionaries of American English as offensive,[1] disparaging,[2][3] insulting,[4] and taboo.[5]"
That's not what I meant, because English is my second language, and when I was making the game, I just made a Native American. I'll try to avoid this issue in the future.
This is a fun game. I'd like to see some UI improvements - Seperate tabs for food, armor, weapons. I'd like strategies to be sticky, so I don't have to keep re-assigning everyone. I'd like to arm/feed a knight in the strategies page.
Interesting teaser. I'd like to see what other pickups you come up with. One point - I'm not liking the magnet as an Icon for picking up what appears to be a charge. I'd rather pick up a plus or minus sign to take up the charge.
Other pickups -
Weight up/down - could be a weight and balloon(breaks floor tiles when landing, allows high jumps)
Reflective/Absorbant surface - Reflects lasers/Absobs energy (To what end, I'm not sure)
Explosions. Every game needs explosions.
Great ideas! I particularly like the weight/balloon one. As for the magnet icon, I had thought of making it a charge instead, however I decided that it would be unclear for the player that he can actually change his polarity (by pressing shift). Tutorial text for the game would significantly help the player understand this and other concepts I plan on adding later on. Thank you!
P.S. explosions, definitely not out of the realm of possibility :3
1) no, you should spend them 2) This button made just for fun
