Couple of suggestions: some things could be explained a bit better, e.g. scrolling the screen, achievements. Would nice to still be able to see what the achievement is for after getting it. The Monster Expert achievement is broken, and therefore so is the Monster Expert - I've bread all the monsters, finished all missions, have 100% popularity, but still haven't got it. Would be useful to be able to buy more than one unit at a time in the lab market - either a quantity field, or a "buy 5" button. And there's a load of grammatical issues everywhere. Good game though
O....kay. Was kind of enjoying it, despite the repetitive gameplay, since the story was decently written (apart from the bizarre line "All the killing has made you hungry") and seemed to be going somewhere. But the end was just a bit of a cop out, and a bit daft. Still, has the basis of a decent game in it. Oh, and there's a typo in the lastish screen: "daarkness"
Neat game, but it's too easy to get killed and too frustrating to have to go all the way back to the start - no one's going to do that more than a couple of times. Add checkpoints - even just one when you reach the totem, or maybe one halfway there - and it's a bit fairer. Or else for form of healing item somewhere.
Bah, I was giving this 4, but after spending ages getting all the achievements and winning all the games without conceding, I do a two player game and it resets. That's really poor. 2/5.
Monotonous and buggy. I somehow died on one level after the level had ended and I was off screen. On repeating the level, it just hung at the end. Then I finished it, with the required amount of blood consumed, and still wasn't allowed onto the next level. 1/5
There's a few typos in the game description - "funny physics based bombing action puzzle game" should read "boring, physics-ignoring, monotonous pixel-hunting grindfest". I suspect there's actually a meta-joke going on here, that the levels are deliberately designed to include words like "fun" while not actually providing much. In the same way that an unexploded bomb brushing my ship kills it, while a bomb detonating in a pirates hat doesn't affect him in the slightest. Thus the entire game is supposed to be taken ironically, not at face value. Either that, or 1/5.
1/5. Just for repeatedly ignoring all the same flaws throughout all the Arkandian games. Among which: combat lag is crazy yet again, and the inventory system is still useless. Pity, since otherwise the series is pretty good.
A few small issues: after the first mission I hit 'retry', since it was where I'd expect continue to be - it wasn't actually obvious that I needed to hit 'menu' to continue. The rupee balance is in the lower left, but the tutorial says right; C should toggle like T does, instead of needing to click close
The problem these games always have is there always seems to be one level that it's very easy to make unplayable, but doing the wrong thing. In this case, it's the Captain Hook one - it's easy to push the upper hook over to the right where it can't be reached. Only choice is to restart the entire game, since the developers still haven't bothered to put in a reset level button. 1/5 for wasting my time.
Thank you for pointing this out. The level has been fixed. If you clear your browser cache version 1.3 should load. Thank you for playing and sorry for the inconvenience :)
Loved the artwork, good solid game. No lockup issues for me (latest Chrome). Though the collision detection was slightly off, only noticed on the final boss - seemed like the top left (back) of my ship was getting hit when it looked to be a miss (Super Jet). Good fun overall
Meh, a bit boring overall. Quite a few irritating things, like no hotkey for speed, speed not resetting at end of a level, having to walk tight up to a tree to interact with it, it's all just average.
The only thing worse than facing a massive final boss with terrifying stats, is facing a mediocre boss with pretty average stats, and spending the whole battle knowing it's all going to go horribly wrong, but not sure exactly how.
Found the controls slightly irritating - it's quite difficult to turn on the spot to face the opposite direction without taking a step that way. Made some of the harder puzzles very difficult. Apart from that, great fun
Cool game, weird atmosphere. Is it just me, or do the notes you find make more sense if you read them in reverse order?
Bit unfair punishing a mistake by sending you right back to the start though. (Though once you know the exit code you can use it as soon as you take the pills, without having to go through all the steps again). I found the end a bit disappointing, but still, not a bad game.
