The concept of getting the blocks destroyed is ok, but there are some flaws. Luckily hints can be turned off, but sometimes the entire challenge is 100% impossible from the very start of the game. Just... not good.
I think I may have figured out a piece of the "Generic Quest" puzzle. In your inventory, there is a "Generic Spoon." I found "Generic Ice" in a chest at the Fork.
The last level was a real pain considering I played on a laptop, but it was a great game overall. Story was slightly lacking, but given the little time in the game, it doesn't matter quite as much as in a game with hours of things to do.
Bombs, penetration count, rear shots, all upgrades that may have been useful, or may be useful in a sequel of some sort. Great game though. No complaints here.
Just a heads up for anyone confused at first: you can't equip two things that give the same stat(s). Obviously you can't use two of the same equipment, but it may also apply to other items like the Full Armor with the Shield. Another thing worth noting is that although each character can take the same class, they are not exactly the same. For example, Lina gets Burst 1 with Thief 1 right from the start. However, Mari gets Burst 1 with Thief 2 after some upgrades. When on the class selection screen, you can see what abilities and stats you will obtain from it. Use this to your advantage.
It is supposed to be a peaceful game, why is it spawning reds on top of me? I mean, I can understand that I might accidentally run into one faster at combo 100 or something, but when I've been set back to 1 for what appears to be no reason at all so many times, I find the music to be frustratingly unfitting. Luckily this only happened with certain settings on, but it is annoying to find such a challenge in what is obviously intended to be a peaceful game.
It seems to ramp up quite a lot every 10 levels, but other than that the game progresses in difficulty really well. It seems like a "connect the dots" at first, but it is far more than that when you reach higher levels. I'd say well done.
