@ryan_marr Ranger is harder than it needs to be because of this. Getting a Longbow or Sling is frankly unlikely. You will run into a lot of other ranged weapons. Put everything into ranged damage, save those for things you need to one hit kill, and ranger is winnable. But much easier with good drops (like everyone but Necromancer)
Why isn't the Highest Win Streak score with any class? I've won my last 15 or so games. I don't know why it matters that it's the same class (I have 5 on that...)
I can now confirm that all classes can beat the game in under 45 minutes by clearing every floor in combat. (Exploration Complete 15/16, defeating all enemies before Goblet) It isn't easy, but it's doable. Enchanter and Barbarian are most reliant on good drops to win this way, in my opinion. Or in other words they are the worst.
@plateplatinum Confuse becomes an AoE spell after the first level, and you can target the ground with those. @sheralian Charms charge by using "turns" so if it needs 250, you need to move, attack, rest, or whatever for 250 turns.
Recommend Win Rate % with some sort of weight to balance out games played. This is the most impressive and transparent number, in my opinion. Mine is 34% 14/Win 27/Death, but I lost 9 wins and who knows how many deaths when the saves got weird from the first couple of days. I'd like to know how this compares to the average and tops.
Ultimately the only real problem with the game is that enemies don't drop loot. Yeah, it'a frustrating that chests can give you garbage sometimes, but that wouldn't matter as much if there was other stuff being dropped. It would even out the challenge to be more strategy than luck. It's standard in other Roguelikes, too. Please add this.
Okay, I've beaten it on all classes and I have half to 45 minutes or under. Equipment matters but strategy matters more. Each class has strategic advantages. Every corner or hallway you use to control them stops them from killing you. Sprint is really useful. All of the "on" magic buffs are good. Learn the enemies, learn the environments. Don't starve.
Shock is so much better than Infectious Disease (I can kill a huge group in 1-2 turns instead of waiting for four+) that removing the risk to the player would not overpower the talent.
@WhatNoWhy NPCs take gold. Merchants sell items for 30-200+ gold. Skill trainers are 25g, Talent trainers 100g, Priests 10g (heal+buff). Those are the gold uses
Well, I lost my win/loss records (not an issue, really) but kept my Trophy/60/45 markers. I don't know if they'll count for badges, doubt it. Anyway thanks for fixing it, and I also got my best run after being able to play again
Game does not emphasize the existence and importance of upgrades. Other than that, please rate this 4/5 or more to get it badges. It's a creative time management/farm game with good series potential.
The tutorial will emphasize the upgrades in the next update. Thank you so much for the suggestion and for helping out with the ratings, I really appreciate that! xD
Played this after beating Rogue Fable 3 a few times. Storm Mage, won quite easily on my first try. Rogue Fable 3 is significantly harder, I'd say. Good backward practice for this one, though.
Warrior and rogue should start with a short bow (the damage is worse than any other projectile, they do not become obsolete). Ranger should start with a long bow. Barbarian should gain 1hp regen per 1 rage decay. These classes are a lot weaker than casters.
Reload the game to see the effects of the latest update. Thank you.
