When I set a custom value for "Next At", close the game, and re-open it, Physical will almost always be back at the default "Next At" value of 100,000, leaving Mystical to pull way ahead as it continues going down the list at 10,000s.

Just crunched some numbers because hey, math, why not. Assuming you have all hero upgrades through Beastmaster's (barring The Last Upgrade), your clicks do 2.5% of your total DPS + whatever Cid adds. If you activate Clickstorm, Lucky Strikes, and Super Clicks, and you can maintain an average of 10 clicks/second yourself (totaling 20 clicks/second), then during those 30 seconds you will add +1,654.5% DPS from your clicks alone. This DPS hike is multiplicative with Powersurge (read: you will get your double DPS, then also get +1,654% of that doubled DPS) for a total of 35.08 times your base DPS for 30 seconds, or roughly 17.5 minutes' worth of damage in 30 seconds.

@Briza - there was somebody, though the ones you are most likely to miss are: visit stats page 100x, visit achievements page 100x, press the yellow arrow button that shows/hides the floor buttons 100x, and press that button 500x. @Arokthis - as far as i know, only the garden has a max level

the two to the right of Restless (elevator 4) are for pressing the yellow arrow that shows the button panel 100/500 times. The two to the left of diamond are for opening the achievement page 100 times and the statistics 100 times.

I do like this. On the Space Depot map (I think that there might have been either a secret update or a bug that dropped the level quests downwards a bit, still a lot of waiting) and it wants me to, as one of my quests, buy 50,000 bought clicks from the gem shop. I have 367,524 bought clicks that I have not yet spent on Ultimate Click Eater (because that isn't enough for level 48 of ultimate click eater.)

anyone know what the two achievements between the portal number achievements and the diamond achievements are? That and elevator rides are the last things I need to get everything.

Melting jellies gives access to the !!secret!! upgrade page, which allows you to reset your jelly progress to 0 and lose all your upgrades for a multiplier based on how many jellies you made during that particular reset period. countless jellies -> small numbers of chocolate bars (at first), which give a *0.02 multiplier to your jellies per second for all sources. This doesn't sound impressive, but as you build it up towards 40 million chocolate bars and beyond, the effect piles up to the point that you can break the 100 quintillion per second mark (which still feels slow for the really, REALLY big purchases). There is another benefit, which will effect you much more at first than that one, but yeah. Right now i'm enjoying a roughly 830,000x multiplier to my jelly income.

kinda hoping that if an update adds more upgrades to the button, one of those upgrades holds the multiplier up longer. Not even necessarily higher, just a slower decrease.

Level 8 is a bit of a rush game, but not terribly much of one. You can cover much of the top 1/3 of the map in collectors and defend them lightly with cannons. Take the hilltops when and wherever possible, skipping the valleys in-between where you can. Rush for the survival pods, though not so quickly you overstretch yourself. The pods near the bottom of the map are relatively safe being on such high ground, and as you approach them a single mortar can push the creeper back far enough to save it. Personally I tend to relay my way to the left-center pod, then work my way down the right side before heading left across the hilltops.

@schismtracer - it all depends on your exact badge loadout. As soon as the Foodie badge (x2 gold for not using any X marks) opened up for me, I have been using that. Once the two badges option opened up, I messed around with badges a little until Happy Pill opened up. Turns out the effects stack, so Foodie + Happy Pill = 340% gold bonus. I am on the 5th page of Normal difficulty getting 6-7k per puzzle. Also, pretty sure that the gold goes up exponentially with board size, so assuming hard puzzles start off 20x20 and go to 25x25, as is common with these, the gold gains will become quite substantial

Normally, I don't like this kind of game. I usually find them to be too punishing, too random at points, and requiring superhuman reaction times. Here, I never really felt like it was the game's fault when I failed, pushing me to do a little better on the next life. This really hit that sweet spot where it was a challenge the whole way through without ramping up to the point it stopped being fun. Great game. 5'dm

Easiest way i have found so far to mass produce any resource is Gold. Once you get the Stock Exchange, it is relatively straightforward to get Gold Mining as high as you can, mine a bunch of gold, then sell it for 1,000+ times as much scrap, then buy anything with it. Using this you can convert ~10 gold -> ~1 garnet, ~500 gold -> ~1 crystal, and ~1 gold -> ~1 Mineral. Really any of these wind up overall faster, cheaper methods of production than anything else (faster than mineral based, as those sell about as well but are more expensive to upgrade)

Wait a second... why the heck is it cheaper to get the 160th hyperdrive than it is for either the 100th beam or shield? I understand that the final upgrades for both are locked behind that 100th copy, and the entire shield chain is also behind that 100th beam, but even fully upgraded those 100 total copies produce LESS speed generation than four hyperdrives at the penultimate upgrade.

Developer response from Dark_Timmy

Yeah, the costs of some upgrades get a little off at high numbers and it starts to show in the end game. That's all due to some balance choices I made which at the time seemed good but in the long run were, possibly, questionable. HAAAAA!! That said, thanks for playing and for commenting! I appreciate it! Best, -Tim

there is. If you click the question mark in the top right corner (no, the one above the upgrade branch options) it shows the full upgrade path for a given base unit
