Nihlus_Kryik: It really isn't that hard if you do a LOT of backtracking to gain levels and upgrade your stuff. So far, I've managed Hard Mode and Hard Mode+1 (Hard Mode NG+) without ever dying...except for the tutorial battle. I take it I will need to do some SERIOUS power-leveling to beat that one.
@masterman and MastaMama: Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try once I get another mission point. But, is Combo Absorb really necessary? The monsters rarely get close enough to actually hit me, and when they do, they only deal about 1 damage.
Does anyone have any tips for getting the Pyrabow? Using the 25-speed gun, fully-upgraded Basic Attack, 22,822 unmodified Attack, and using Quick Attack until my MP is empty and waiting to do it again until it's full, I've only managed to get up to about 1,194.
Geez, how many levels are there in the Stadium!? With a maximum of 99 in each stat, I would imagine that after a certain point, winning would be impossible.
Got to 1,007,412 ft. at 3 1/2 hours before giving up and letting my hedgy fall...well, off to the right, anyway. After another 1 1/2 hours, he never dropped past 930k ft., so I stopped his horizontal motion.
