OK wait a minute... I was stuck on level 21, tried it many times, and every time I'd go back to the menu and then click continue. This time, I clicked continue and all of a sudden the upper right corner reads level 99 and the playscreen is blank. I tried restart, I tried going to the menu and returning, nothing. I just can't go back to the game where I left it. What a ridiculous bug! Would a level select screen have been so difficult? 2/5 and I'm gone. >:(
I gave this game 5 stars without hesitation ^_^ It's extremely fun for something so simple. I don't know if it's original, but whoever first had this idea for a game is a genius. Also, for some reason I love the ridiculously literal title!
The "without restart" achievements become impossible to get if you didn't know about them and restarted to get the star. Also, level 9 can glitch so that the black bar ends up floating in mid-air. Overall good game, although at certain points the timing required is frustratingly exact. 5 stars from me (but fix the glitch!).
Small bug: If I click restart after I finish a level, it doesn't register as solved (that is, when I click continue, it doesn't take me to the next level).
Oops, I take back point 2. I hadn't seen the select level screen. But new ones are coming! Why can't I play the minigames when I click on them? And why did chapter 3 throw me out before I got to the last level?
1) Too buggy. Not just the lag, but my character sometimes disappears while pulling a box, or walks right through keys without taking them. Also, I got the "finish chapter 1" achievement twice (second time when I finished chapter 2). 2) I hope there's no timer, because without a pause button I've left it open for quite a while so that I wouldn't have to go through the whole chapter again. 3) I've beaten the first 3 chapters, but chapter 4 wasn't unlocked. Is it a bug? Do I have to beat a minigame to unlock it? Is it even in the game? 4) Most of the puzzles didn't require much thought, unlike the previous shift games. --- All in all, very sloppy and inferior to the Shift we know and love. 3/5 from me :(
I agree with LWolf who... no, just kidding :P The ball trails are just a minor inconvenience that I got used to very quickly. I have only 2 suggestions: Add a "quit to menu" button on the playscreen, and make a universal mute for all game modes. 3/5 (-2 stars for repetitive gameplay; sorry but 50 levels is FAR too much)
Here's an idea for a colourblind mode: Make it so that you can see one colour at a time on the left pattern (add buttons: show red, show blue, show orange, show green, show purple - also label the colours at the bottom). It wouldn't make a difference to us, but it would make the game beatable by colourblind players :)
Cool game, except that (repeating my previous comment here) sometimes you can get the right shape but the game expects you to use certain pieces in a certain place, which you have no way of knowing. Also, BUG: I was playing the game in french and I noticed that the text sometimes didn't fit in the appropriate space (as in the description on the lower left and the "Menu Principal" button), please fix. 5/5 :)
Level 12, you only need one green square. It seems that sometimes you can get the right shape but the game expects you to use certain pieces in a certain place, which you have no way of knowing.
It isn't on another site Kotecks, it's right here on Kongregate. Just click on the developer's account and you get a list of all his games. Also, it's an expansion pack! Don't rate games lower because you expected something different than what's on the freaking title.
