Combat is either glitched or somewhat poorly done and needs a fix: I just hit a king krab more than hard enough to kill it, my bff attacked right after for even more overkill and the krab struck back and killed my bff. If an enemy takes enough damage to die, it should not be able to strike back or be attacked again in the same round.
just a thought: let us see what the improved stats for equipment will be if we upgrade them with hero points or list what the increase per level is so we can compare what we have to what's for sale (in both: in game stores and the hero store).
odd glitch: the mana increase passive (for max mana) shows "max level" at level 5 but you can still buy the upgrade at 50 mana per purchase. And then at level 10 it shows the increase if you buy it again even though level 10 is the max level for anything. Not a big deal, just odd.
Just one question: how do I know if I'm running at full speed and have invincibility to boulders and enemies? Either I'm hitting it and the upgrade doesn't work or I'm too slow.
Pretty responsive, lot of weapon and ship choices. Very fun. Just one thing: if you collect a fifth bomb, the bomb icon and instruction on how to use them vanishes until you go back down to 4 or fewer bombs. Not a big issue but I doubt that was intentional. First time I noticed I thought I'd just lost all my bombs for now reason.
I can confirm Pidermann's theory for title earning is incorrect. Level 2 atlatenan on first floor, and I earned nonviolent (row 1, column 2). Level 2 demon died on the second floor and I got "brave" (row 3, column 2). I'm starting to think the titles awarded are just random and occur whenever you die? anyone know for sure?
Fun little game, but needs a save feature. Also, maybe its just me, but I'd like keyboard movement at least as an option and the ability to start auto attacking something if they're attacking you. And, why do some items list the same stat twice instead of just listing the total increase (i.e. boots with +1 stamina, +1 strength and +1 stamina instead of +2 stamina and +1 strength.) It's just a little a little thing but it strikes me as odd.
For anyone having trouble getting all 5 stars: you don't need to have the perfect guy, you need to score at least 1000 happiness by the end. Try to find a guy that has at least 2 of the qualites that match your perfect guy and hope that the attributes that you discover are all positive ones. The earlier you pick a guy up, the longer you'll have to switch out for someone better or the longer you'll get the bonus.
That said: One of the undiscovered characteristics I found was "attractive." Evidently, I was blind when I found that guy.
Fun but laggy and had to reload several times due to problems connecting to the game. also, I agree the weapons are way too random from one match to another (I just got a shot and 2 earthquakes in a 2 person match). Even you want to make some of the weapons random let us at least choose some of them, like maybe 2/5 of all our weapons for a game and the rest are random. Or a point system like CaptainCoolGuy suggests.
Great game, but a few problems. Lags quite a bit starting at around day 5 or 6 when zombies really start swarming in (not so much walking lag as aiming. I turn to face them using the mouse, but the crosshairs and character take a second longer to follow compared to the first days), the counters for at least the last 3 items (the Heavy machine gun, rocket launcher, and laser) seem to not move AT ALL. Also, not a really big deal but it'd be nice if when using the "double rainbow" special you didn't drop your VIPs while running around super fast plowing through time stopped zombies, especially considering only zombies on screen get frozen while new ones are still spawning. A tiny HP bar or some way of knowing how close to dead a VIP is, even if only after you pick them up, would be nice though hardly necessary. Otherwise very fun game.
Somehow I lost the ability to raise attributes and abilities despite having enough points. Also, accidently clicked on the tavern after going to the next battle and the game semi-froze; I could select skills and attacks but both gladiators just stood there and did nothing round after round. Both glitches seemed to fix themselves after a reload but still annoying to have to deal with.
@tigerdragons, you can kill the winged monster thing by luring it into a trap (not saying which one so as to not give away too much). But it's not that hard; just takes a little effort to time the trigger and dodge right to hit him but not die yourself.
Has anyone else been able to pave new tiles for units on grass? Grass only tiles, mind you; grass with anything on it (fences, stones, trees, etc.) are unpaveable but just grass works fine. Just wondering if that's supposed to be allowed.
@mickie, are you viewing the bestiary on epic difficulty, because the green slimes start poisoned to make killing them (and a few other enemies too) a little harder since they automatically heal each round. Some other enemies start with buffed stats and the bestiary shows that too but only on epic since that's when they would get the special bonuses on top of more health.
@Chenbipan, there are a few more chests that you're missing from the house in the lower right screen of the town. You don't get the key to unlock it until the end of one of the areas; just keep opening chests in the dungeon until you pick up a key.
@ryn1030, there are chests completely hidden behind some rocks on the final screen of the ruins (the screen where you fight the protecter boss). 1 on EACH side, those are probably the ones you're missing (took me a while too).
