Has anyone unlocked the golden bullets and lost the ability to pause? I just completed the last achievements and now I can't pause with the spacebar or p keys. And marga, the achievement is "kill YOURSELF in 10 seconds"; just start a game, pause and quit as soon as it starts and it'll give you credit.
It's fun for the first run or two, being the same level over and over and not having anything change except keeping your upgrades from the previous run keeps it from being as much fun as I would've liked; I was hoping for more. Bonus points for the amusing comments from the support system though (I liked how it complained if you leave the tutorial part before it finishes)
Not a fan of the demo thing considering I love this site for not needing to pay a dime to play games but I really like the S&S series. Great job on the interface, much better than the previous ones. Let the player be able to re-challenge gladiators if they lose to them though and maybe consolidate the shops the way they were in the last gladiator one.
Don't know if this is a glitch or not but is the fourth character in your party (Zach or Vern) not show up at all in shop menus, meaning that you can't access their inventory or see their sprite but still see the arrow/equal sign for stat changes based on items highlighted?
Also, is there a way to get to the temple in Lake Qur and if yes, then is there any reason to go there (I've filled out everything in my encyclopedia; the only things I'm missing 11 treasure chests and I've completely cleared all of the maps). Anyone been able to score all 130?
I played this game before on Newgrounds and beat it. Loved it then, and I still love. Especially the dialog between the Governance de Magi members (the Air-aligned person just cracks me up for some reason). Only thing I didn't like was needing to switch between the mouse and keyboard for inventory management, but then again I almost never used items during battle in the first place so what difference does it make? And for anyone having trouble finding the keys; Tainted Grotto (invisible chest), random Canoia zombie(just keep fighting), Social Fox's tomb, and the Goznor Inn.
Incredibly better than Achilles. Only problems I have: let don't let kicks hurt the player in gladiator mode if they can't hurt the enemy, or at least keep the triple kick move available. And maybe some kind of an option after each level where you choose from your purchased moves which one(s) you want to use instead of having the game randomly decide because of 3 or 4 moves having the same commands. Other than that, this is exactly what I would have hoped for and would love to see a sequel if you get the chance.
So much cooler than the first. Managing your time with searching specific buildings and supplies for travel is a rather than just setting hours for tasks in the first is a nice step up. I found almost no weapons most of the time but I love how you can equip them with weapons that you're not using that night. My only suggestion for that: let them come with at least the weakest gun as a start; I went a good couple of nights in the second or third city because I didn't have enough guns to go around for the full 5 survivors. Or at least let them be able to use the chainsaw and/or grenades.
Oh and for some reason I've killed a few enemies (in normal mode) and it gave me credit but they stayed standing and fighting. I know they didn't just have next to no health left because one of them was the first boss and the screen said "stage complete" despite the boss still poking me with his spear.
could be so much better. the time it takes to recover from being kicked by an enemy is WAY too long, and the game seems to switch randomly between lopping off a limb as a OH kill and just hurting them and stunning just long enough for me to maybe be able to back away before getting hacked at.
except for the bow spinning out of control more often than I like and the difficulty in aiming at enemies on the other side of the screen where you can't see the angle of your bow, it isn't half bad. I agree that it is basically a knockoff of bowmaster prelude though, and not as much fun as that in comparison. 3/5 for being good and playable but not appealing enough to hold my interest.
I kinda liked this game. Two main problems: 1) it's a little hard to tell what element an enemy is I think and 2) and this is the big one; I can't move with the arrow keys. On either setup.
Fun as this game is, with only the 4 different groups of enemies it gets too repetitive too fast. More types of enemies would be the only thing I can think of to improve it.
