Wonderful artwork complementing the dark story. Perhaps a bit short, a few more puzzles would have been nice. Also, the moving circles during each final encounter were very hard to click and didn't seem to actually affect anything, or am I missing something here?
I spent five minutes clicking madly to get the loading screen completely free of dancing totems for just one second, and I was so disappointed when they all came back anyway. :D
Adorable game! Lexe's expressions have so much win. I hope there's a sequel or an expansion some day. And yes, those complaining about the combat system have totally missed the point of the game.
It's a great game with fantastic art and premise, but the combat mechanics are rather difficult to figure out at first go. E.g. click on the arrow, click and drag in the direction of the arrow, click where the arrow is pointing? I have to admit I still don't understand how the battle with the ogre is supposed to work.
I may be missing something, but I couldn't really get the sense of what this game is about. The name and art style initially attracted me and I was hoping for a story. Was rather disappointed when it turned out to be a maze without any other content. Also, it does need a sign that the game has ended, player has won, etc. I spent quite a while looking at the square in the white room and poking at it trying to make it move before realizing yes, that was it.
Thank you for the feedback! We'll try to make the story and the premise clearer next update (because there is supposed to be one!) We also plan on changing the visuals to the same scratchy style in all places.
@firsofzerg do you mean you're playing Melee/Melee? If so you're probably screwed because you need both damage and debuffs to control enemy healing. (Playing 3rd round right now with Melee/Tezolox and holy mother of god Tezolox is insanely OP'd when maxed out - but the delay to its damage means it needs pairing with a more consistent DPS.)
Wow, big difficulty gap between certain classes. I started with a Vertalist/Lost and facerolled half the levels, then tried again with Dissium/Tezolox and the first half of the first world is stomping me.
After seeing all the comments about grinding I was a bit freaked out, but it was actually very enjoyable. I used a mage build with Elacin/Dronicle and Ice/Poison (only to the orb), levelled HP and MP for the whole of the first planet, bought only the INT+ weapons and didn't need to repeat any level more than twice. A bit of strategy helped of course, like throwing poison for auto damage, spamming potions and totally abusing freeze to stop enemies from healing. No grinding needed :)
When I saw the opening sequence I thought I'd be controlling something like Robocop. Then the severed head bust out of the tank and I bust out laughing. Played halfway through it before another attack of the giggles made me stop. The concept is just hilarious.
It's actually a pretty nice game if you ignore the badges. But one very frustrating thing is that the timer continues counting even after you get the last shard, until the animation finishes. It's incredibly irritating to get the last piece one second before the timer bar ends, and then lose because the animation hasn't finished yet.
What a beautiful message. Sadly I'm sure there are a lot of d*bags out there who have downrated this game for no better reason than homophobic insecurity.
