Mana leak 12, and then you're just dead? Like that?
NO. Just NO. I find just about every aspect of this game BALLS. The time, the dialog, the art style, the lack of tutorial, and by god, the lack of a defensive bonus on defense bolts. 1/5.
@I_Am_The_Guy that reminds me, I really ought to put requirements on those dungeons. Impossible mode is meant to be, y'know, impossible (Actually hard since people should still be capable of playing it).
BrainGeyser: "Is my attack speed too fast for the game? It's only 153, but my blade will flash a few times before an attack registers, then hit one or two, then flash ineffectually again a few times. My accuracy is 200, so it shouldn't just be missing over and over, and I deal enough damage to not be negated (min and max are equal, a bit over 500, and when I hit it does damage, so it shouldn't just be damage being negated by armor or whatever)."
Pimgd: Nope, that's just one of the warriors attacks not having a hitbox!
One of the warriors attack animations HAS NO HITBOX! When you get 10 of those attacks in a row, you just DIE! Monsters that are champions can be normals when you get back and vice versa! When you finish an island if offers you a one option choice! GET YOUR EFFING GAME FIXED 2/5!
I checked why - It most likely has to do with Kongregate not being able to properly handle the highscores submitted. The early highscores used to be in the 10-100k range, since no-one bothered to get through the first painful levels. As a result, any score above about 1000K is deleted, even although that has got to be a very easy thing to achieve (slaying some level 6 trash mob nets me 400 points, and at level 13 as mage on Impossible I already have 410K points). I'll start raging at Kong for you, because this isn't fair.
1/5. The game bugged out on me, and I therefore was unable to continue my play. I feel cheated in every way - how am I supposed to do the badge when the game isn't even programmed properly?
Upgrading repairs it. Reselling doesn't take health as a factor. That alone allows for plundering strategies with would look like pyramid schemes IRL.
A major loophole in tutorials: The game didn't tell me that plant growth = coins. I didn't feel the need to upgrade resource leechers - they'll finish the job eventually, right?
TextRPG2 is progressing nicely again. I finished coding the quest engine, and am in the process of writing the first test quests. It's a bit hard, but I'm getting there - you have no idea how much storyline you suddenly have to write when you give the player free choice!
This game needs a save feature. The reason is not because "I hate dying", but rather "I hate playing for 5 hours straight", because I also got other stuff to do.
I found out what’s causing the equipment bug!
Open your inventory by pressing the chest. Try to equip an item.
Now close your inventory, and open it by pressing I. Try to equip an item.
See, it works!
When I melee attack, I get 2 strikes on the combo meter.
Equipping items still is not working until I trigger some arbitrary condition.
In the meantime, could you just let me equip items in the slots themselves? That would fix most of the bugs - I know it might leave out some sort of effect you wanted, but playability is more important here.
TextRPG 2 was canceled, see updates section.
