Great game, but there is one simple UI change which would deal with my only source of frustration. When I buy a new ship or weapon, could it automatically equip? At least three times I went into battle without my latest upgrade.
Take a tip from the most recent game to get badges: allow the player to choose any of the earliest 3 levels not yet completed. That way getting stuck on one doesn't mean being forced to quit.
Good game design is about letting the player do the fun bits and not making them do the boring bits. So why do I have to stand around holding down space to recharge my energy?
@BeatrixKatamba, @lakip, you need to get your ship so smashed up that even the hull is destroyed before you stop moving. The best way to do this seems to be to fly along the top, so that you'll have a long way to fall and a lot of chances to hit mines and birds, when you die.
I really don't see why this game got a badge. If you add together the points from the badges on all 4 Factory Balls games it's equivalent to an Impossible, and yet the total difficulty is equivalent to some Mediums.
@artematthew, there is a pause button. Top right. My problem is that the game goes too slowly. I'm at level 17 and getting bored because when you're hoping to finish a combo and there's a move on the table there doesn't seem to be a way to skip.
We're not in the 1970s. People aren't inserting a coin every time they play. There's no good reason to send them back to level 1 the first time they make a mistake.
It would be nice to be able to see your score after you die. At the moment you sometimes can and sometimes can't depending on the colour underneath it.
I'm sure it used to be possible to move the city, but I couldn't get it to work in Settlers. Ah well. I couldn't figure out why that mortar starts on the map either, because there's no way to get there in time. Is it just meant to be a hint as to the direction to move in first?
Nice tip. thanks
