You might want to nerf the Start SPD and Start Agility amulets. Currently they make you so fast that you can usually kill all enemies before they attack. Also, using charge attacks, you can kill the final boss's first two forms before it can do anything. Who needs defense/healing if you never get hit?
Why can't we get a chat window on the race results screen? Even when I choose "Chat window: always on," it turns off for that screen and I can't tell what anyone's saying.
Shark: The punches are equal speed and deal the same damage, as far as I can tell. They all go as fast as you can spam the button. However, the jab reaches farthest, so it's better at protecting you from missiles. Also, the low punch is the only one that hits mines, and the uppercut hits falling rockets earlier than the jab. (But you should still jab the rockets, just so you don't have to stand as close.)
Shark4675: You only get White Milk coins during the first ~7-10 multiplayer battles of the day. Try coming back tomorrow. (Not sure about single player, but I don't think I've ever gotten more than 10 per day, so multiplayer really is the way to go.)
Tip for beating my boss (and other bosses with lasers): Try to get underneath the laser. If you're just barely below the laser's hitbox, you'll be able to attack the boss freely. Use this to rack up some damage, but be warned that the boss may start shooting again right after the laser ends.
I have to agree that it wouldn't be very fun to be paired up against the same really-tough boss over and over, getting 1 WMC each time. I've petitioned the developers to increase this minimum value so that it'll be worth sticking with multiplayer anyway. (To make matters worse, there's actually a set _number_ of battles per day that award WMCs, so each time you get 1 coin because you're fighting a tough boss, that's 9 potential coins down the drain.)
xandramas: You can get more people to attack your boss by attacking more bosses yourself. Actually, this also explains why you've been fighting so many tough bosses. For instance, I play at least 10 multiplayer rounds a day, so others (including you) are more likely to be paired against my boss. And because my boss gets attacked so much, it's a high level and is hard to beat. (Not impossible, though: Sharkhunter beat it three times in a row.)
I agree about the up punch, at least. It's meant for destroying rockets falling on you, but it's usually easier to step back and use a normal jab. (Actually, now that I think about it, I agree about the mines as well. No matter how far you get, they do only a tiny amount of damage. Kind of like the sawblades.)
Toimu: This game has plenty of variety. There are in fact different punches (check out the "power punches" tab). Plus there are three types of stage (desert, swamp, and eventually ice). Oh, and in some rounds, the boss uses a sawblade rather than his regular attacks. Then there are bonus rounds. Add mines popping up from below, rockets falling from above, homing missiles approaching diagonally, all while you dodge invincible electric missiles, and you've got more than enough variety to worry about. And *then* the boss starts shooting lasers at you.
It's not pay-to-win; it's actually pretty generous with the coins. Though I guess it isn't very obvious that you get the most coins by coming back daily and playing 5-10 multiplayer matches.
killop1: When that happened, had the stage just switched to ice? Because you retain your momentum from the previous ice stage. (I've reported this before, so it's presumably already in the queue to be fixed.)
Actually, before you get the wrong idea: with 12 attack, I usually have a lot more than 10 seconds left at the end of the round. Fighting pineapple17's boss (level 8, defense 7), I finished with 24, 28, and 30 seconds left, respectively. The battle would still be winnable with significantly less than 12 attack (6 should do, at a guess).
The values go up exponentially. So it's to be expected that a 4 difference between attack and defense becomes a big deal. The important thing is that you should be able to fight someone with 12 DEF +-1 and be a balanced battle. Now the issues is why you got matched up with someone that was so far below.
pacattack25: It's true that defense is a boss's most important stat, but by the same token, attack is DD's most important stat. I have 12 attack upgrades, and I've been winning every fight (even against bosses with 10 defense) with over ten seconds to spare each round.
just realized i had the monsters in ch5's speed really low. Do you think enemy hp is pretty low too since youre just killing them too fast?
