It seems that the menu isn't the only thing which is invisible in this game. Eventually I found an invisible monster where I can only see its eyes. That's not so bad, but it also has an invisible way to kill me! I lost life even when I was no where near it and there was no apparent reason for it! This game loses another 2 stars for that little trick. 1/5.
This game is pretty fun, but I'm impressed by how bad the main menu is. It takes a special sort of cleverness to choose to make the menu invisible. I still haven't figured out how to get out of the options screen. -2 stars for making the main menu hunt-and-click. 3/5.
I had no idea that this game had an alternate ending until the badges appeared! It's good that someone explained how to get it because that is so random that I'd never have figured it out. This game is funny but terribly poorly designed and way too dark. I couldn't see the bathtub until it had water in it.
When you fail a level and retry it, you lose all the ammo you had when you started the level the first time, even if you still had it when you died. When you retry, all ammo is reset. That means if you are trying to save money, you can't buy ammo and then only use it if you need it; you've got to only buy it if you need it. Saving money for nukes is hard!
Level 14 is very difficult. I doubt I'll ever be able to survive it. Maybe if I could afford a full supply of nukes. I might have to start over and see if I can get through spending less money!
The level 4 password is "suicidal". Normally I wouldn't advocate cheating by giving away passwords, but since this game is impossible to win fairly, I think it's fair to share passwords.
Combat is way too simple for this game. When a monster runs at you, you just have to hope you have enough life so that he dies before you do because you can't outrun him. Hope alone doesn't make a game fun; there should be some skill involved.
Not a bad game. It seems the goal of the game is to collect points, so there should be more of a reward for it. It would be hugely better if little numbers popped up as points are collected. It would be even better if there were different sounds depending on the score. I don't know the rules for how many points you get, but I hope they are sophisticated and interesting.
After I got to exp level 17 I had so much firepower that it seemed I was invincible. I no longer had to move around, I just stepped out of the elevator and sprayed around until the elevator opened again. Challenge sank to zero and eventually I got bored and let myself die. This game needs a new, nastier zombie type to make the higher floors exciting.
The logic of this game is pretty strange! I have an umbrella and the people on the island don't like the rain, so why can't I just give the umbrella to people? What else am I going to do with an umbrella? Very frustrating. Despite the amazing 3D, 2/5 stars.
It suffers from the problem of important objects being invisible in the darkness. I hate that in this sort of game, so I take away 2 stars for that. 3/5.
A fun idea, but it's a bit awkward to control superman, especially turning from one street to another, and it's glitchy! I found myself on "undefined" street.
I agree that not being able to see the ground is a big problem with this game. Perhaps it is a lot to ask, but it would be great if the camera zoomed out while jumping so that we can always see the ground.
This is definitely a solid 4 stars. Very frantic and addictive, but also rather unfair. It shouldn't switch games so fast because the player is too vulnerable during the switch!
I doubt this game is intended to be seriously played. It's more like a joke. I doubt the creator put any thought into how one was supposed to win this game. The only strategy that I can figure out is terribly tedious: pacman is so scared of ghosts that you can pin him in a corner pretty easily, then all you have to do is wait for one of the other ghosts to wander into the corner and kill pacman.
This is some sort of ideal of good game design. It's got lots of interesting power-ups, lots of interesting varieties of enemy, a fun interface, and two modes of play so when you get bored of one you try the other, especially when you are playing as the enemies you'd be shooting before, making it all the more tempting to try both modes. I prefer the minigame for the boys because it's most clear what you are trying to do and you get a reward of new graphics for success. I'm still curious about what you see if you punch through that helmet.
