Good game.
The only thing I'd like to note is that they refer to 20 levels when really it's 20 different screens. Not that big a deal, unless you are intimidated by the fact your are on 5-2 with 1 ball left. :-) 5/5
Something wrong for me.
My first slot is always a warrior, next always a cleric, and third always a mage. The fourth slot is either rogue, ranger, or barbarian. I have never even seen the conjurer you guys mention. :-(
Sorry, but while I got throught the first portal, got around the house a bit and a few crystals, got stuck and got bored. Really need to make objects a bit more noticable and maybe a clue or two. For now 2/5
The secret to level 9 is to basically destroy most of the city. Not all of it, just those areas that are not in a path to your home. You are effectively mining the town for resources. Leave enough of the town to funnel the bad guys to your traps and the like. Backup your guys with various power up buildings. Remember, you can get 8 guys surrounding a building. Build your guys based on what path you powered up. You can always change a power up path after you defeat a level, moving from a lower powered monster to a more powerful base. My way was mainly to power up the manticores and liches. I like the manticores since they can sometimes attack without getting hurt, but more importantly they can attack the various flying forces that can go through the walls. It took me roughly 2 times per level to get a winning team, 3 for level 9.
OK, played it all the way just to give it a fair shake. Nice graphics, but little else. OK play, but I can see how you can go back and forth forever. No point, and I did not need a cliff hanger, thanks.
The AI has problems.
At level 3, too many of them just accumulate points without attacking.
Mostly a stalemate unless I do something to break the balance.
