I think Kongregate hates people who don't play laggy games, because it's another prize round with a lagtastic, overwrought game with poor controls and timing.
Why_me said, "Multiple flaws both in gameplay and in coding... Why should I be penalized for upgrading my max mana?? Sure you increase your mana before the start of the battle but your regeneration stays as if you hadnt." Absolutely agree! DO NOT UPGRADE MAXIMUM MANA MORE THAN ONCE until you have maxed out mana regeneration.
BlueTurnip: You have to unlock them using upgrade points first. Earn points by completing missions and leveling up. You also can only use one type of building on Thunderstorm and Fuel of War.
Needs a pause button and more weapons/bad guys. The upgrade system is nice, but very slow. The game gets repetitive after a few levels. A back button would be great in the upgrade screens.
Not that good... nothing to do with monster trucks, really. You could just as easily have a guy on a jetski and get the same game. Feels more like one of those bar arcade machines where you try to throw a lamp real far or something.
I thought I was playing the Thunderstorm campaign, but instead I was playing a regular Hard campaign. Didn't realize it until the badge update never came. Woops...
Be interesting if you could upgrade to higher numbers like 8 or 9 or something. Getting rid of the mouse controls and moving to left hand on the arrow keys and right hand on the number pad would be nice too.
I agree with Kersius. The first three castles are pretty good, but the 6-7 levels of grinding for exp. and reputation are too much. What could have been a quick, totally satisfying action RPG turned into a boring slog. 4/5 for the first 3 castles though, and good programming, although a greater variety of armor and weapons would be really cool.
1. Needs lots of editing for spelling and grammar errors. 2. Needs a mute button. The sound effects are all right, but I'd like to turn them off so I can listen to music. 3. Lots of wasted space during battles - any way to zoom in closer on units?
Yeah, this game is way too hard to be fun for more than a few minutes. It's too much of a clickfest. Plus, what the hell? I have a chaingun trained on spartans for five, ten seconds, and they still don't die? Give me a break. Plus, the sprites are so tiny my eyes are hurting.
