Suggestion for things to add: please add more fights with the heroes. Fighting the necromancer and the tree at the same time would be interesting (if not hard if you aren't trying to rush through the game).
This game ... has pacing issues. The hardest level was probably 35. The last 2 levels were only hard because I was afraid that the large boxes off the screen edge were going to start moving. While the music is good and the colors interesting, I feel like this is a halfhearted attempt to copy "Hard Growth" without understanding what made that game fun and interesting.
Perhaps the biggest problem is that the blue, tracking things neither time out nor disappear when they leave the screen. This means that levels where you need precision become races against time when the blue squares are involved.
Honestly, I wish level 15 had the chest on the right a little further to the right. It would make it much easier to do things. I don't like that the trick to do level 15 is introduced in level 15. There are other times you might see it, but level 15 is the only place you really need it.
A few thoughts (yes, I know 7 years late):
Point Blank Shot is a trap. You are better off just getting level 3 arrows on your archer. If it let you do 50% extra damage, it would be worth it.
There is no where near enough XP in this game. I barely got the skills that let people go extra times, but, aside from my archer, I didn't have enough XP to upgrade any attacks. Maybe if every level gave 2 upgrade points instead of 1 it would work.
Sleep and Confuse are interesting, but I almost never got to use them due to the mage having so much less range than the enemy mages.
The archer with fully upgraded bow and 2 actions a turn can kill both original types of enemy in a single turn. With the king's extra action power, he can kill anything in a single turn.
The various abilities look interesting, but, aside from giving the warrior a health boost I never took any of the boost abilities.
For kicks I tried getting all of the achievements again. It took me about an hour and I got "Sky Captain" and "Frequent Flyer Miles" on the same run. The key to getting "Sky Captain" is having both the Poseidon's blessing and phoenix pendant upgrades.
Strategy that seems to work on every insane mission: turtle your first planet. Prioritize researching government, weapons, shield, and armor. Build fighters and bombers constantly. Do not try to colonize until you have enough firepower to hold off the computer's attack fleets on two planets at once. Also, grab the little space boxes as often as you can, they often contain either ships or resources.
If you want to be really crazy, build a fleet of fighters and frigates and go raid your enemies. You won't get any credits (which I find are often the real limiter early game), but you can get plenty of other resources. On the other hand, you will also (bafflingly) acquire population which can be really hard to unload.
My problem is that sometimes you have a bunch of clues that add up to the same thing, and other times you have a bunch of items that are left in the last couple squares with no relationship between them.
I like that there are 2 (kinda) good endings and 2 (kinda) bad endings. I'm also glad I picked the ending that was the least depressing to start with (helping the red clan).

Game looks cool, but I am fairly certain that it either has a math error somewhere, or is not implementing gravity properly. I come to this conclusion because planets do not seem to follow keplerian paths. They follow ellipses, but the ellipses are centered on the sun rather than having the sun in one of their focuses.
My biggest problem is that I cannot change my load-out mid-mission. I would like to see missiles apply both the primary and secondary effects chosen and be able to change between them mid-mission. That would probably require all sorts of balance changes, so it is something to keep in mind for a sequel more than for this game.
I lost my last HP when the 5th boss was at 3 health. I yelled "nooo!" and sat watching my predator drone shoot at it for a minute. Then it died and I got the victory screen. So I yelled "Yes"!
Beat the game with 19,000 points and 2, count them 2, strikes. I blame playing too many grand strategy games with basically historical maps. Also that I got almost no targets that were in Africa that run.
