I really enjoyed the game. It has a unique feel, turn based, if you act right you can keep all your party members up even with 1hp each. Not too hard, and level progression is similar to D&D (better base attack/HP per level).
I tried to be a ranger who uses ranged weapons, yet I have to be next to them to use them. Is this correct? I don't see anything that suggests I can actually have them attack a distance away or anything. Looks interesting but I kinda just lost interest.
You can only attack adjacent monsters. Ranged attacks happen before melee attacks. Ranger can often kill weak melee enemies without them being able to strike back. The manual explains it in detail.
Very good game overall. I wish I could zoom-out and get a better view of the area to know where I have done stuff or haven't (although a mini-map would be nice too, but the levels are small enough for it not to be a huge concern). Maybe an alternate of the game to allow wide-screen, that way the side bars that are always there won't be quite so visually impairing. Lastly the 'blast radius' in some of the guns since they can kill you while you're using them, I wouldn't mind seeing a red area around where the blast radius covers when targeting a particular enemy.
Seriously, put a quality option in and allow it to 'show all', I hate playing on tiny windows. If I have a 20 inch screen why do I have to play it in a 6 inch area?? I'll reconsider it again later if this gets updated, otherwise 1/5.
I seem to have a problem where I've hired some 'super creeps' yet all they do is stand there... I can't control or tell them where to go, perhaps an explanation of how this works would be nice. If they are alternate heros I need to know how to switch between them.
Interesting game, skill selection is a bit limited though. Ended up dying since I'm given three hard opponents at once with no real way to combat them aside from 'maybe' destroying all their armor first, assuming they don't kill me first. Maybe I would have done better if I could have invested my skills into more advanced stuff rather than my mutant level.
Needs a area map of where you've explored or the whole thing period. I can only look and get stuck with 'was I already here?' and 'where am I suppose to go now?'.
So I pick up a sword and I only get ten swings on it? But I have endless swings with a bat... If you pick something up you lose your previous weapon (not put on backup)... Sorry, doesn't seem worth it.
You're pretty much leaving it to chance if you can catch the rings, since you can't build up enough speed, even if you do you can't catch up and you need to switch directions. Lousy game.
Well it's certainly interesting... A lot harder when you have more CPU power going towards the game, then when it's a little slower. Overall I like the game.
Game looks really good! However I'm finding single clicking every command kinda annoying. I don't see any notes for it, is there a default 'standard attack' or 'last action' keys for the keyboard? Perhaps full keyboard support so I can navigate using only that? (BTW I do make scripts that convert game controllers to keyboard strokes so this would be optimal for that kind of thing).
Can't tell it to 'show all' so a larger screen can be used, and no control on quality. Unfortunately how good the game could be is taken away from there.
I find certain games annoying, not that the game couldn't be enjoyed, but options that i would use are disabled. I can't change the quality, and i can't select 'show all' in order to stretch it to fill the screen when i downloaded the game. I hate playing in a tiny window. Sorry, 1 star.
The game is rather choppy, like it's trying to do more in the background or keep track of things that it doesn't need to. Keeps dropping the framerate to this tiny amount for a period of time, then goes smooth again after a while.
