So, I have my web built up strong in three corners, with the area between them connected just to take up space. Two bats come through and shred me, leaving me the top left corner, and pretty much nothing else. Three short strands - picture a capital T with an extra vertical line - is all I had left in the bottom right corner. The next bat through, somehow, got caught in that. This game makes no sense sometimes.
The "times insane" counter when you win the game isn't working, unless Yog-Shothoth (sp?) doesn't count. My opponent cast that numerous times in the final few rounds.
Whats the point of making the opponent discard? He gets a card back right away, and there seems to be no limit to how many cards you can draw in a game. The discard doesn't seem to do anything towards helping you win.
Creatures are severely underpowered. Even just allowing them to attack each turn instead of only counter-attack would be a huge improvement. Insanity should either be more harmful, or built up. As it is, you can go insane and hope for something weak, like lose all arcane each turn. At that point, you've weakened a bunch of the opponents spells (the ones that affect sanity) and removed all drawbacks from your own power spells. Taint should kill rather than going to zero when you have 1 HP. Its like the evil corruption infesting your body feels MERCY when you grow weak. Not in flavor at all.
I like the first a bit better. This one seems more . . . linear. I don't mean that as a pun. I mean the first seemed to have multiple solutions on the larger layouts, but here there is one and only one possible answer. Still a great puzzle game, and 5/5.
Decent shooter. The backgrounds give me a headache, and it really sucks to spend time absorbing a full set of abilities, then lose everything when you get hit. 3/5
Not what I was expecting, which is good, because I was expecting another Drone Wars fiasco. Fun and interesting. The drag and drop seems to stop working randomly, and requires four or five clicks to get a box started. I don't know if thats flash, the game, or just me. 4/5
This version seems to be much more difficult. Im enjoying it tremendously.
Several nice interface improvements over the first protector. More strategic planning required, rather than just spamming basic mages. Could use a mid-wave pause button for when the phone rings. 5/5
Not at all hard. Finished the truck section on first try with 91 lives left. Then I thought the long line of drops from the boss was some sort of attack, so I dodged it three times and lost :(
