Not that this was a well designed game to begin with, but the final area seems to have not been tested at all. You can walk to the Pandora Cave without ever finishing the Pandora Key quest. Also, in the pandora cave, there's a glitch invisible staircase just to the right of the first guy you talk to that warps you right to the end, so you can skip the entire cave.
Let's see. Sun dive & surf, long & planetary jumps, nice & perfect landings, pendulum speed, the candy bar, and the one where you run completely around the planet. That's 9 tricks. The instructions claim there are 50. Unless multiple asteroid crashing goes all the way to x41, I think they're full of it.
It's just like Necronator 2. It has premium content everywhere you look, but the controls are so bad, and the game so buggy, that I can't imagine why anyone would want to pay for it.
How many people played one of the other Epic War games and thought, "I kind of like the graphics and upgrade system, but having to play every level 5 times to advance is lame. We should have to play every level 30 times, at least!" Let's get a show of hands. Put your hand down, artlogicgames. You don't count. Nobody? That's what I thought.
I never found a use for the special, or the bullet time. I didn't see the minion menu until I had only 2 boss levels left, and found the minion more distracting than helpful, so not much use for those either.
A mini-map would be a huge improvement. I finally beat the last level, at 3 minutes 58 seconds. The final minute twenty was spent on two kills, because I was running around in circles and not seeing anything to shoot at.
I understand the graphics are going for a retro feel, but it's very frustrating to die or get stuck on a puzzle because you can't tell what's floor and what's wall.
How the hell is Big Paulie still walking at this point? Triple cheeseburger with mayo for lunch, double whipped cream, extra chocolate toast for breakfast. I feel I should have to remove my floor decorations just so he can reach the counter.
This is a lot more fun than a gem-match game ought to be. I wish there was a more pronounced difference between the three characters. Once they're powered up, they're all pretty much the same guy.
What's the music when you drop off the conveyer into the cell? It kind of sounds like Shadowgate, and kind of sounds like the Blaster Master intro, but I don't think it's either one.
