Good game, though not quite as good as the vector runner on Addicting Games. This one seems like its trying too much. The way the map tilts when you move seems cool in the beginning, but makes controls difficult once the game speeds up.
Randomdude and anyone else who shares his view. Quit bitching. If you don't like RS, don't play it. Otherwise, who gives a flying **** if its on Kong or not. I don't like the game either, but you don't hear me complaining about it like some spoiled arrogant six year old.
Vector Runner: 3.5/5
Complainers: 0/5
This game rocks, quit your bitching. If you want to play the full version, go to their website. Me, I'm going to stay here, Kong seems more homely to me.
I like pie. Pie is better than this game. But this game is still pretty good, just pie is better... To change my mind, CHANGE THE VICTORY CONDITION SO THAT EVERY GAME IS NOT DETERMINED BY INFECTING MADAGASCAR OR NOT. Ahem, the balance is all wack. Let me just drop a nuke on that tiny island after I've infected several other nations with my mind controlling symptom.
One other thing, this game would be a definite 5/5 with zombies. wink wink
My winning strategy:
1) Use virus, name it Jibblets.
2) Keep your starting symptom until the disease spreads to another nation
3) Immediately buy cold and heat res II, and moisture res I, and Airborn transmition
4) Once the disease spreads, sell starting symptom.
5) Wait until the whole world is infected, if any nation is completely shut down and has not been infected then restart.
6) Once the whole world is infected, buy moisture II, and all transmitions, and start working on symptoms that are very infecting
7) Once about 60-75% of the worlds pop is infected, start buying up lethal symptoms
8) Wait until the world dies
This is similar to other guides, just writing it because people in chat keep asking me for help.
I've already rated this game a 4/5, but I feel that I must speak more on the matter. This is very clever, the win condition (surviving waves) is the same as the monetary gain, a new concept among tower defence games as far as I can understand. Not only do you gain less with every hit you take, but you also have fewer resources for every building you construct and upgrade. This adds a whole new element to TD, but still remains balanced. Great game, and I hope this sets the new standard for TD games, or at least contributes in some way.
Bloody fun game! If you don't like it, thats because you aren't playing it on a 32" monitor with a rockin sound system. Pimp up that bass and watch the screen shake. This is whas shooters are all about.
5/5
Great game. It lacks an ending, though, which dissapoints me. Would be an even better game if you'd slap an ending in there. "Proo made it back home in her beat up space craft and was grounded until she could pay off the cost of her father's craft." Followed by "Return to the weird planet and find the rest of the gems to help Proo pay for the space craft."
This is a fantastic game, sir! You receive one of the oh so rare 5/5's!
A few thoughts if you do make another (which you should!)
-Temperature is a cool concept, although it does not make sense for a time based lose condition. Prehaps the further you go the colder it gets, thus you have to continually search for insulation.
-Prehaps a temperature gauge (to determine external temperature) would be cool. It would give you the freedom to make a nonlinear game, giving players different options based upon how much insulation they've found.
-Most importantly, with this style game you could easily make the lose condition based upon being chased. Add suspensul sounds, make the music more manic the closer the (whatever) gets. At that point add options to hinder its progress, further adding a non-linear element to the game.
Hope you make another!
Was actually a pretty cool game format. I personally like more complex systems, though the simple rock, paper, scissors combat system worked out fairly well. I especially like how the ending is modified based upon (trackable!) game performance.
Horray for being GOD ^-^ Thats right people, I'm the best mage of all time :P
