It's funny how we all spend like one minute being impressed by the serious leap in graphics with these new Unity games, then dig in to picking them apart. I think it's really cool that I'm playing a game that looks like this on the web -- for some reason it makes me feel old. The game itself needs some core tweaks and improvements, and I think other people are on point bringing those up. But I still get a kick out of just being able to play it.

I guess I'm just posting to thank Pitergames for not creating some sort of intro animation/story explaining why this guy is doing this.

(more comments) An addition for the library -- after finishing the game, I'm still just guessing that "heavy attack" does more damage (I mean, I hope it does) and light does less, but without having some idea of the numbers how can I really choose the best tactic? Would have been nice to be able to read about that at the start. Also, the first time through I had no idea what a scroll did, until I learned the spell myself. Finally, I agree with others that the backpack sorting is just strange -- why fill the center first, then the outside? It makes it tough to organize. And speaking of -- if you play the game to the end, you can accrue a storehouse full of stuff. Sorting my potions, weapons, etc was convoluted. I think the whole setup needs a rethink.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add a comparison roll over, for the weapon that is equipped and the one you are looking at. And allow us to scroll between defenders any screen (especially equip), without clicking out and back in. These two features would have saved me so much fatigue ... when you spend so much time playing a game as addictive and compelling as this, things that waste time really start to build up on you.

I've almost played this through, so I must be enjoying it, but there are couple of things that seem strange to me. One: the money you get after a fight seems to be independent of the # of foes, or their threat level. So I feel zero incentive to go after the big baddies if I need more cash, but it's kind of tedious farming the weak creatures. Two: because only one bug attacks a turn, even if there are three of them it's really like you are fighting one creature with more hitpoints, and randomized attacks. The only strategy seems to be killing the one that does the most damage first. Beyond that, it doesn't matter how fast you kill any one of them. I feel like this limits tactical choices, and makes area attacks often not worth it.

Other ruminations on the metaphor: sure you can pursue love, and even draw it from those around you, but it is destined to end. Before it does it will move faster and faster, moving erratically, requiring more and more intense acrobatics to keep it all going. The very things (people?) you are drawing your happiness from will make it eventually impossible to sustain, and then one of them will destroy you.

Either remove the ability to pick up more loot (and let the char leave a completed battle field) while over-encumbered; or allow us to just see the inventory of every body on the battlefield and take whatever we want. It's to my advantage to juggle all loot into a few adjacent containers and then pick it all up after I can no longer move ... but it's also tedious. Good game by the way. Ignore the people talking about Fall Out. You state very clearly in the loading text that while Fallout was a template for the graphics and items, you are mainly focused right now on refining gameplay. Plot, theme, etc to come later. I look forward to it.

I think there is a great concept in here, but I also didn't get pulled in. I feel like you left out some of the better parts of shooters and TD games, so the hybrid doesn't satisfy as either. One of my problems was the view range -- I'm zoomed in too close to really see what's going on (the base takes up more than 1/10 of the screen, but that's what I usually stay centered on). If I'm watching the radar screen the whole game, what's the point of the pretty graphics? If there is no turret, no aiming or clicking, I need to feel like it's more of a TD game -- need to see the enemy swirling in closer and closer while placing defenses in their path, or maybe even trying to nudge/alter their trajectory. To feel like I'm managing a battlefield. Or: If I was trying to aim at those spiraling motes and shoot them down while guarding my base, that would be a shooter. As it is, I'm not doing either. So I, too, lost interest.

In my first battle against the unarmed man, I click foe, click fist, click fist at bottom of screen ... no one moves, and then it says "New Round." And so on. I can defend, he doesn't move, I get my bonus, but still can't attack. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this the most anticlimactic start to a game -ever-? I just spent all that time creating my dude.

This was really nice. Just finished playing through as Poison Water, and I have to say the special combos did make me almost feel like I was cheating. But there was every so often an opponent that made me really work for it. I don't think you should be able to re-spec at will -- but there should be at least one chance later on. While you're still learning the ropes, you can't be expected to foresee how that one choice can leave you vulnerable later. I abandoned my first game because of that, started a new one. And of course, my biggest complaint -- don't you know anyone who has some grammar skills who can do a quick proofread for you? Or even better, find a writer to make the text in the game as good as the game itself. Anyway -- thanks for this game.

I like this what this game could be enough to keep playing it, even though there are bugs that drive me nuts. Like the aforementioned stuck movement, and the failed selling of a gun (it turns into a miniature graphic in the weapon box). I look forward to graduating from the "preview version."

I like this world you've created a lot, but didn't always enjoy trying to move around in it. Besides the fact that safe/unsafe need to look more distinct, I'd also like a Look Down ability in some places, where I'm dropping blind. But you have carved out a very distinct mood and setting, and bravo on that.

Nice job on this. Other people caught the lack of labels -- on towers, etc -- so my only other comment would be that I wish the final upgrade for the towers looked a little cooler. Or different. Or at least like something I was saving up a lot of cash for. Just a tiny little flair, dash of color, something, would go a long way.

To people annoyed about long lines and lost customers: maybe I'm not getting as many customers as you (average 70-80) -- but I set up my store like a maze in a TD game, and almost never have more than 3 people waiting at the register. At the start I placed my racks so the customers had to walk as far as possible to get to the register, and I spaced them around. To people annoyed that they had something in stock, but customers were saying it wasn't: maybe it's because of the long lines? If someone picks up a CD, your stock goes down one. If they get annoyed at the wait and leave, they RETURN it, and your stock goes up one. I have seen no glitches, other than a customer wandering through the walls like a ghost.

This is easily a 4 star game, in my book. Fun. But am I the only one who'd like to see my health for each barricade before I buy the healing, and finds the % fix for a set price a little odd? Shouldn't fixing 150 points cost less than fixing 15?

Fun, don't get me wrong. Darn fun. But when I think roller coaster ... I think hills. Maybe a loop. Slowing down and speeding up. So I was a little disappointed to click on "Epic Coaster" and just ride a series of flat platforms. It wasn't very ... coasterish.

This game looks beautiful, is simple to control but captures the feel and basic strategy of dogfighting, and has impressive production on the cutscenes and voice-overs. But you can't play it if you might have to actually answer the phone, or talk to someone, or do anything but finish an entire mission -- which is not short. If having a pause button is somehow not possible, could we at least have the option to skip the dialogue? And more importantly -- make sure the arrow-indicators are never obscured by dialogue boxes! Finally -- if a bomber does get through, don't make me fly outside of mission borders to end things -- just tell me I failed. Very nice work on this game! I hope I can find the time to actually play it . . .
