Am I correct that it looks like "mana burn" takes off enemy health, while "poison" takes down their mana? I've seen this a few times. Seems bass ackwards, to me.
Do some maps have puzzles to solve to finish? I'm on the Mindflayer Den, and cannot find stairs down, or a way to access the right side of the map. The obvious route is blocked by crates.
Nice entry into a well stocked genre of game. One request -- there is no reason to make us conquer any leftover neutral clouds, once all opponents are defeated.
You might think it's a "tactical challenge" to suddenly have a bunch of bees swarm my troops from behind with no warning or chance to react (and note, I only lost a couple squads, no problem winning the scene). I think it's cheap. If you can't "challenge" us without exploiting our blindness to off-screen enemies, and the microseconds it takes us to respond, then you need to revisit how to make the game challenging and rewarding to players. This is otherwise a wonderful genre of game to see as a free Kong game, and I think it has huge potential. Please take this as constructive criticism!
Fun game! I think someone mentioned insta-kills. Thought it was cool to get a Bravion, put it up to lvl 5, but it seems to die incredibly fast, much faster than any other melee unit.
Question about annoying gem interface -- why do you have to select each slot separately, instead of just dropping or removing from all available slots on the same screen? It seems needless, and on a slightly slow computer, very frustrating. Esp to redistribute gems amongst many creatures. It's an epic click fest.
This isn't a criticism or a bug. I would just like to say: if I land my head section delicately on blimp, I should be able to stay there as long as I like. ... Wait a sec. That sounds dirty somehow.
Umm ... suddenly I don't have a high enough Flash version to play this game? So how did I play it the last ten million times? It's been a little while, but I was itching to play again. Guess not. Never been retroactively booted from a game for having a Mac.
Save/freeze issues gone. So is my evening. Thanks ALOT dude. Oh -- and the game seems much harder now, ie, much easier to die. But I think I might like that.
This is super fun so far, but I can't get to level 2 without freezing -- and when I come back there is no save. So I'll wait to see if that's fixed before playing again -- too frustrating to lose progress and neat equipment that way.
Yeah. This game looks like a game. It looks like a game I would play. But it's really a the final project of a grad student dual majoring in Economics and Behavioral Psych. Games like this will ensnare the unwitting, but only make the rest of us just that much more cynical about humanity. Sorry to be harsh. Make a game that rewards with fun, instead of punishes with time/money restrictions, and I'll be the first to applaud.
I agree with other comments -- this game is good enough, it deserves text and writing that is remotely in the league of the graphics/sound/design. I expect that from other games, not one as well made as this.
I have to agree about the AI issues. I was enjoying this to a point, but not only did my miners kill themselves trying to receive a corpse, even when they didn't I could not coordinate them effectively enough to break through barriers before they were killed. Ragequit. Fix that, and you have a game here!
