It's odd but actively trying to win at the sun emperor stage can actually hurt your odds of getting the golden scarab if you got offence 3. The best way imo to get it is to just park your emperor at the end of the stage away of the action and do something else. It might take a couple of tries, but it's pretty easy (you don't even have to win, just get the coins) and it's also an easy and carefree way to grind for coins.
Does anyone know where the last of the bows and page 1 trinkets is (by last I mean they appear at the bottom right of their respective equip pages)? I've even gone over the whole map while looking at the walkthrough but I still can't find them.
Since the bestiary is a bit tough to navigate here's a list of all the monsters that drop stat boosting food. HP - Yellow Wasp, Red Wasp MP - Beach Crab, Cave Crab Attack - Brown Bear, Chimera Bear Defence - Evil Tail, Evil Worm Magic attack - Fire Elemental, Thunder Elemental, Ice Elemental Magic defence - Flame Wraith, Frost Wrath, Spark Wraith Accuracy - Big Green Bush, Big Muddy Bush Evade - Big Snow Slime, Big Sand Slime. HP,MP, Defence and Magic defence foods have 1% drop rate, the others have 2%.
To give a sense of how much blacksmithing scales, a +7 legendary sword and dagger combo gives you a +56 attack, a +45 crit and +68 crit mult bonus. If you level them to +15 (needs a very high amount of either luck or patience with manual save/loads) you'll get +1459 attack, +1167 crit and +1751 crit mult. Can't imagine anyone holding their ground at the last location without at least some of their equipment stregthened past the safe limit, regardless of their race and starting age.
@deathmaster999, if you wanted you could have only counterattack as your defence skill which would probably get you to over 70% skill. Also 1500 isn't that overpowered considering that the monsters at the last location can have millions of hp.
Does anyone know what the protection reduce bonus from the boss slayer title does? I don't see any description for it in the stat screen and when I toggle the title on and off it seems that only my protection ignore stat changes.
Firedragongt there is a mute button, although it is kind of easy to miss since the rebirth sound is the only one in the game (at least that I know of). Just press the sounds square at the bottom right (it's next to the blacksmithing button) so that the square is white and you won't hear the rebirth noise again.
For those wondering the weight of the armor determines what kind of enchantments it gets through blacksmithing. Heavy armor (regardless if it's body, head or feet) get a defence+protection bonus, medium armor gets a hp+protection bonus and light armor gets a hp+defence bonus. It's the same with weapons, with bows getting +attack,+prot ignore, crossbows having +attack, +crit mult, staves +mp, +magic attack, axes +attack, +hp, scepters +attack. +mp, swords +attack, +crit, shields +defence, tomes + cast chance and daggers + crit mult. Rings and necklaces get a percentage of the powers they already had added through each blacksmith level. The bonuses are always the same and not dependent by luck, but only by type (again for armor only weight matters, not where it's worn) and rarity (rarer armor= stronger enchantments, although it might take a couple levels for the difference to show). Existing powers and their strengths only affect the bonuses that will show for rings and necklaces.
After the update when I try to load my game, my screen goes black for a while and there get thrown back to the start screen, where I can't click on anything anymore.
Very good game but since it's pretty long and you may even need to grind on top of that, a speed up button would be a major help. Some other minor improvements could include using a tip button for the pig's advice (since some hate it, but I guess others like me would like to see all of the tips) and some better explanation of the spells. For instance there is no mention if the healing one heals a certain amount of hp or a percentage, or how much difference the +X makes to the spell etc. Lastly it would help if apart from the spells the units also got a number displaying their current stats instead of just the bonus they can get from upgrading.
A tip for those having trouble with the golden treasure chest. Since diagonal counts as one space don't search in the middle since it could be essentially anywhere. Instead, start with a corner. Then search diagonal as many squares as specified in the chest, and then see where the possible locations from the two chests meet. If you are unlucky you'll only have a 50% chance with the last shovel, but it's still better than searching blindly.
It's a very good game, but I'd like it if it was a bit more realistic. Getting attacked by brains in a game filled with super villains is just preposterous. I mean, what are the zombies doing?
If you plan on getting the alternate ending sacul 2000 said then be sure to get the normal ending first. If you do you'll be able to select the last chapter from chapter selection and try it out. Otherwise you'll need to do all the levels again before you get the normal ending.
In case anyone is interested in learning the trick of unlocking the bonus mode from the start, just click in the middle of all 3 O that are found in the title "One and One story".
Brockobama1 first of all fully upgrade your units. Unless mentioned otherwise give melee a platinum shield and ranged platinum swords. For colossus use goblin, witch, elf hunter, elderly wizard, gorilla and centurion wait for them to reach max population and charge with everyone but hero. You don't even need to use spells. For undead beast king if you have vampires by casting regen even the angel can take care of him alone but also use diablos with turtle shield to kill him a bit faster. Just be careful with your regen timing so it's cast on both since the angel's attack makes it possible to miss her. For swordsman use diablos with turtle shield, vampires and the rest ranged. Wait to have full mana (build structures if you want too) and have vampires attack her while your ranged sit behind diablos for protection. If you keep casting regen on diablos she will die before he does.
How about having a skill that grants attack and health be reusable (even with low gain/xp ratio) for the hero? That way they'll get stronger the more battles they fight, the player will be faced with a choice, do I keep him safe in the back or bring him to the front for more firepower and it would be more believable that they are heroes than a guy that is supposed to be so good in battle that some call him a living deity, yet is one shotted by the enemy boss.
Please add an option in the (battle) menu so you can choose if you want the hero to move along with the rest of the units when you press the advance all button. Apart from the first few missions and especially in the trials it's suicide to have him/her advance anyway.
The tips for beating the trials have been said dozens of times so this is for those who are having trouble at inferno. Don't bother trying to stop him with high hp units since he'll just walk by them. Have lots of ranged and include some maxed out golems. Not only will they help you getting there (although you might need to use a spell or two on the succubi), but the wall structure is crucial. Put one in front of the inferno and keep replacing it when it gets destroyed and it'll keep him occupied while your ranged units kill him.
