Very cool idea. Pretty good game, too, but doesn't quite hit the gaming sweet spot; Personally I'd like to see the sliding block element removed, because let's face it, it's pretty trivial to move 2 rooms together; I'd prefer some kind of drag and drop system.
A triumph of weapon upgrades over gameplay. I'm not sure if this game's target audience would even notice if the sections where you fly your ship yourself were removed and they spent all their time clicking buttons in the shop.
Pretty good! I particularly like the rockets which allow you not only to reach previously unreachable sections of the level, but also speed up the process of hunting round for the next bit which you haven't done. Although, they ALSO allow you to rocket into bad guys when you mistake the rocket key for the gun key. Might I suggest rocket key+direction to activate?
Kinda fun to play... pointing yourself at the endless swirling waves of balloons is so engaging that you almost don't notice the fact that you're in no danger. Don't like the fact that you need to go down the tech tree the right way.
Well programmed, but needs improvement... shoot em ups are much more fun when your basic weapon fires more quickly, you shouldn't have to pay so much to upgrade that. Oh, and I hate having to pick up money all the time, but that's a personal preference.
I don't remember the first one being this dull. The best way of avoiding enemy bullets is to be constantly running back on yourself, which makes playing a very long winded experience.
