The fact that the aliens don't kill you when they connect with your trail makes this a much more trivial play than Qix. Still, nice music and graphics.
Tests the single skill of avoiding multiple objects traveling in straight lines, which, lets face it, is not a skill under-represented in computer games.
I agree with everyone else: cool concept, boring game. If the speed issue was sorted out, and some decent levels were designed for it, this game could really be onto something.
This game is a mess of keys, it'd be nice to be able to redefine them. Strategy is broken, as well, I've never needed to use anything except F-F-Attack, D-D-Attack, and Jump-Around-A-Lot-Healing. I could try some other strategies, but it's not easy to, since my character development points are fixed permanently after I have assigned them. And, as many others have noted, it does get quite boring.
Not great. Combat, especially, is very drawn out without requiring any skill. Those 5 different % points on every item you picked up never seemed to have any effect on gameplay. It kept me busy for a while, tho.
Nice. Don't like the fact that the A button uses switches... I found myself having too many controls to concentrate on, which in turn lead me to missing some of the messages on screen.
