i beat hard mode with 4.3 billion people left. why can't i get a badge for that? bah, i'm done with this game. moving on. it was fun 'cept for the apocalypse mode. see ya folks.
after 2 more hours playing it today, again i say it's impossible. i don't believe any of you who say you've beaten it. if you have a badge you probably hacked the site or something.
grouchotron, i've tried your strategy 3 different times. it doesn't work. if you lay down a bunker that early in the game then it takes too long to earn the money to upgrade your cannons and 1 or 2 get destroyed before you can upgrade them to level 3. if that worked for you then you simply got extremely lucky.
that's it. it's official. apocalypse mode is impossible. i've spent hours playing it and done every strategy to begin the game possible and nothing works. i've started out focusing on upgrading one cannon, two cannons, three cannons, four cannons. i've placed them in different squares. i've tried to get to the nukes as soon as possible. i've tried using the bunkers; upgrading it before the cannons and after the cannons. i've tried using the economic centers. there is nothing i have not tried. don't waste your time.
i've read several strategies from you folks on how to beat apocalypse mode. i don't think any of you have actually done it. most of you are talking about building bunkers next to the ion weapons. it says in the description of the bunker that it doesn't protect other structures. do people just post strategies when they haven't even tried them?? why would you do that?
haekerx's strategy from several comments ago doesn't work. i just tried it. before you have the cash to upgrade even one ion weapon to level 3 your population hits zero. don't bother with that. try something else, and when it works tell me.
the controls are too weird. if you hit the left arrow key he should go left. you have to turn him and then hit the up arrow key for him to go anywhere though. that makes going horizontally to tackle the porshe almost impossible.
level 27 is impossible. that's just all there is to it. i've played this thing 5 times and used different strategies each time. the 3rd tier towers are too expensive. the red rockets don't fire fast enough. the 3rd green laser doesn't do enough damage. the 3rd blue weapon should teleport the things back to the beginning, not some random place. if any one of those things were fixed the game might be possible.
no autosave? isn't that like a major bug? i don't even see where to manually save it. this game isn't worth the time since you spend more time making up what you've already done than actually playing it. without that bug fixed it's pointless.
