nevermind, i figured it out. you have to build two drones very early and send them out to the trench to keep the enemy at bay long enough to build up a defense.
all of them are easy except the last one. it comes too fast to defend against. if i build faster then i run out of energy and it overwhelms me. if i build slower then i don't have enough weapons to defend. seems pretty impossible to me.
2/5, 'cause there are some levels where if you lose the first time and you don't have the money to get bombs/grenades, it's impossible to win. you should get at least some money regardless of winning or losing. also, more upgrades would be nice. if i was going into battle i could design a much better raft. there's nothing up front to make the enemy fire mortar style as opposed to shooting straight.
i liked everything except when there's a lot going on it becomes 3 or 4 times as difficult for the money to zoom around the mouse and be collected. it just zooms around and around without collecting for quite some time.
i don't understand how the game is possible. i can't even get past the first wave without half the enemies getting through. i've tried every possible opening use of the money. i've tried every tower under $100. i've tried just getting 4 bubble towers. i've tried all combinations and all combinations of towers while upgrading some other towers. how are you people possibly playing this? if i was game testing this thing i'd report that it was unplayable.
i would've beaten it easily had level 34 not lagged my computer to the point where i couldn't spend the 3000 credits i had. didn't even lose a life up 'til then. i was beating it easily, then there was a 10 min lag, and all of a sudden i'm looking at a game over screen.
i can't even beat the tutorial!! i've tried everything. every tower multiple times, 4 bullet upgrades. i don't know how you folks are playing this game, but i'm done with it.
dang man, 1555 of my troops just ran away during a battle compared to 414 of the opponents. i had that battle won at any point during it if the knights just hadn't ran off. you have to taunt almost every turn to stay in it once the fighting starts. i don't like that aspect of the game.
thanks! upping the speed made the octopus level easy. you can take over the other two enemies in no time, take out a couple tentacles and then go for the body way before time runs out.
minant, unless the top tentacles have less defense than the others, that isn't gonna help me. i need a completely different tactic, not a revision of something i've already tried. i'm not even coming close to winning. i think i need to just build up more experience and max out a couple more spells.
i dunno how to beat the octopus. i've tried hitting it with all the magic i have. i've tried hitting the tentacles with the magic so maybe i can get some troops in to finish it off. nothing works. i can't even take down one tentacle. its defenses are ridiculous. i'm somewhere around level 30 experience too. i can't even take out the other two armies to get more troops. they're also too tough to beat.
2 min. 54 sec. is as good as i can do on survival mode. that thing is crazy hard. they should've used the swamp level if they were gonna make you defend against all that.
all you need for the easy difficulty level is a maze of launchers and some strategically placed chocolate and they don't get anywhere near the tree. they didn't even make it past the halfway point of the screen until the final wave. nice game though. i love tower defense games.
to clarify, i don't know if the long bow in question is worse than the previous longbow. what i meant was it was worse than the previous bow in general, which is actually a crossbow. they're both bows so there's no point in having a longbow later that is worse than the crossbow you already have. that's what i meant.
this is the longest flash game i've ever played, other than the few tower defense games that are technically infinite. i have one query about the game. why is the first sword so much more powerful than the two subsequent swords? even though later swords may have better stats, they're still worse in combat for some reason. i haven't tried out the dragon claw one yet because it's stats seem worse than the one before it. there's also a long bow later on that seems like a step backwards from the previous one. i think the progression of weapons needs an overhaul.
