Observations after one game: The field of play is WAY too small. I couldn't read the cards, and when I have to wait several seconds for a tooltip to load so I can read each of a 6-12 cards, there's an issue. Tutorial of some kind is required, I had no idea what I was doing, what the abilities were, what the stats represented, etc. Seems an ok foundation thus far, but does need improvement.
Hi! Thanx for playing and for the feedback! Absolutely agree about the size of the screen. The game was designed with full screen mode, but for now we are not allowed to use it at Kongregate. But you can play fullscreen at http://tcg.azoriankings.com/.
And you can play it from your tablet too via your mobile browser (the first loading takes time so free WiFi is preferably).
You can see description of all cards' abilities when you click on it twice in battle or in deck manager. Also, there is "view card" button in deck manager.
The gameplay is original, so, there are some features you need to know to win easily. The rulebook is not comfortable to read but it consist all information: http://tcg.azoriankings.com/help.html
The most important things are: 1) how a player use magic; 2) what are phases of the game; 3) who strikes first & retaliate; 4) the order of counting effects.
This game really has tactic: my ultimate deck was beaten by the starting decks several times.
*sigh* Yet another game that, if packaged as a proper game, would be a ton of fun and that I'd be more than willing to throw $20 at for a purchase. And yet, microtransactioned to hell and back. Woooooo....
Would really like some sort of 'next level' meter... no idea if I was just on an endless stage, or bad calls increase requirements, or what, but it was going on forever.
Sorry, the final boss was too boring to bother with. Games that establish one full set of play rules and then have a final boss that dicks them all are just tedious.
Game appears to bug out between levels starting around 20ish... otherwise reasonably good. Also you can just continue to next bonus levels even if they're not unlocked. Can't give it more than 3/5 with the bugs, too frustrating to reload every level 1/2 through.
Game's pretty, kind of fun, but I finally figured something out. The game is designed to get harder in a manner that FORCES massive grinding, nothing else. It's like playing a Korean MMO. Not really what I'm looking for in a game like this.
This is pointless. There's no stages as such, and it seems the best way to get reasonably deep is to not actually buy any upgrades. Beyond that, it's attempting to trade solely on gore without really having any. Just dull.
Wow. What language is this in? Anyway... the game isn't all that hard to pick up, and is more or less a pac-man variation. It's actually reasonably fun, even if babelfish was not kind to the translation.
Ok, so... ninjas. Towers keep tracking them, even when they can't fire at them. As such, you end up with lots of towers just doing nothing while there are plenty of valid targets to shoot at. Beyond that, way too much engrish and all of the other problems mentioned already? Meh. Just meh.
Alright, I've had enough. Between shoddy design choices (ground clicks? Really?), unfixed bugs, and 3 star victory depending solely on if I get enough mana potion drops, I'm out.
High ground does in fact appear to make towers gain less XP. I have, on multiple occasions, placed identical towers next to each other at the same time, and the high ground is only partially to the final upgrade when the regular hits it. It is QUITE annoying.
