Hmm... I don't like the time limit, it feels too artificial. Maybe make 2 new gems appear each turn instead of 1, then end the game when the board becomes to cluttered to move?
Also, if you make 2 rows in one move (in a T-shape for example), only one gets removed.
£10.32? Wow, I got Braid for less.
But anyway, my point is: wasn't it fun playing this game? I loved it. The music was catchy, and the gameplay was just hard enough to be challenging, and not enough to be frustrating.
Well done, Terry!
(PS: Shareware games are perfectly legal on Kongregate. Check out the FAQ: games are only banned if they're hateful, obscene, pornographic, or not created by you).
To anyone complaining about the fact that you have to pay for it: Stop complaining. Free games are not a right, and the developers do not have an infinite money supply. If you donated them some money, more games would be free.
Oh, and precision jumping is not always a good idea, since the time-recording system isn't perfect. Your past self will occasionally miss a jump which you managed.
Xfliget: Run to the right, over the first hole. Wait there for a few seconds. Go back to the time machine and enter it. With your second incarnation, press the button. Your first incarnation will walk to the right, like he did before - and promptly fall down a pit from which there is no escape. He can't get back to the time machine, hence: paradox.
Heh. I got about 300,000 on my 8th day, due to some lucky upgrades the previous day. With the elastic band and the companions fully upgraded, you can not hit any platforms on the way and still be travelling 5,000 miles/hour when you hit Mars. I thought that was great.
PS You do know Kongregate gets money from the advertising on this site, right? Not a lot, but the point is: They are NOT hosting this site purely out of the goodness of their hearts. Bandwidth, memory space, paying the developers, etc. is expensive. I entirely agree that games should have features like paying for upgrades, ESPECIALLY if non-paying players can get the same upgrades with a bit more work.
You don't HAVE to buy stuff if you don't want to. What difference does it make?
And are you telling me that you don't want the people who make this game to have more money, and hence more time to make EVEN BETTER GAMES? This argument makes no sense to me. Don't buy anything if you don't want to.
Also, great game, really challenging, love the new towers you can get, it has a cool level editor, nice graphics, I made it to wave 31 on intermediate so I have some way to go yet...
