Fun but not really a game. There's no way to lose at all, you just keep going until I guess your flash crashes from too many tail segments.
I was disappointed that I really couldn't get the back part up to speed, it always went so slow....
If this is pure code I'd say you need to check your code.
For one restarting after dying can take 3-4 attempts. Two, the score/submit manage to scroll right off the screen, looks ugly as can be. Three, it draws things onto the screen that aren't actually deadly but it's hard to tell what is and what isn't. Lastly, due to the above what might be a totally legitimate path becomes impossible because you don't know how to sneak through.
Wow, I've got one of the top scores, and legitimately too! I count it as legit when the developer leaves a cheat in the game to submit a huge score for himself.
Actually, it was likely just a testing button for the Kong.submit() stuff but still, he should have removed it.
Buttons hiding in the far top left corner......
Much as I hate dress up games this one does have a feature that is unlike all the others. It's got Snap to Fit so you don't have to be pixel perfect.
Still not a game, though.
Balance is totally out the window. Once you have a tower leveled 2-3 times IT WON'T DIE unless you turn off auto-repair or run out of money. Not to mention the cost upgrading towers grows very large very fast. Unless you mass produce refineries you'll never raise 4k gold to max the top tower the last time.
Speaking of refineries, I've had them harvest from blank spaces before and upgrading them doesn't seem to do anything besides give them armor & health, but nothing will attack them anwayys if you put a decoy tower in front so why bother?
So total copyright ripoff on two fronts, way too easy, bad AI, unbalanced as can be and just a demo for another site.
I normally reserve 1/5 ratings for stolen things, but this one deserves it.
Mostly the guys all attack the front tower, so place a laser tower out there and upgrade it a few times for more armor & health, turn on auto repair and then go to it. The only reason they'll attack something different is because they can't get an attack angle at the top one.
Next, upon starting levels they do the stupidest things. Give you one air guy far out who gets owned on the 2nd wave because it's land based. Not to mention the final boss is always air based (of these 4 levels) so it's no big surprise when it shows up.
First off, this game is Star Wars, though it doesn't call itself that. Has the Alliance & Empire, all the same units and such. Next it blatantly rips off Starcraft with the crystal mining, not to mention all the sounds are from SC too. I hear Artillery (Seige Tank), Laser (Battlecruiser), Missile (Missile Turret).
Next, this game is not at all like Supreme Commander. SC has tech trees and is a RTS, so it's not really at all like Supreme Commander.
I agree Sesspool, I was commenting that it's a good thing this wasn't a TD otherwise you'd never get past the first level. Nothing like 8 towers bringing your computer to a crawl.
Otherwise decent game, sometimes hard sometimes easy. The levels are so not in the right difficulty order.
I got the same word three times in 25 words, nice randomness there.
Oh, and this has to be the first time I could report the game creator for cheating at high scores.
Now, about the game.
What's there to like here?
There are issues all over on this game. From the fact that switching weapons resets the overheat meter (switch fast, you never run out) to the fact that between missions they'll teach you new stuff, sell you new guns & ships but won't repair your old ship, this game is just unbalanced tripe.
Oh, not to mention someone needs to be watching their object creation/deletion as the game gets slower and slower the longer it goes. My guess is not properly removing onEnterFrame commands means old ships/shots are still having their AI run.
Go tell that to the ArmorGames account that is nice enough to post ArmorGames stuff.
They want to post it on other sites as it's advertising for their own site. Hence the "Play more games" links that take you there.
Plus there's always the chance that Kong lists revenue by actual game, instead of just lumping it together so they can take their cut and pass it on.
Bugged where a piece I placed went to the upper left corner and one on the board got picked up instead. The game thought I was holding the one in the upper left and wouldn't let me place it anywhere unless it matched the UL piece. However, when i did place it, I cleared the row the original piece was in and that moved piece on the board vanished and was clear. Annoying.
Aw, don't believe them. They aren't Gypsies he just didn't want to admit this is the whole Ninja/Pirate war all over again.
Still would be nice if things didn't instantly spawn, or would spawn off the screen and scroll on instead of BOOM!
I will believe xsk8x is one of the developers of this older game when he can prove it. Give us more information as to what you did developing it. This is a really good game, it was talked about when Chronotron was first released so I checked it out then. 188 points :)
